**** The Official Google Pixel 3 Thread ****

Starting to get more and more concerned with my order. The pixel 3 is just sounding worse and worse as time goes by. Video and audio I'll get over, but apps not being able to stay open/loaded up and potentially poor battery life is a huge concern for me. Let's not forget these are expensive flagship phones. Not sure what to do.. Im not sure it's justifying the cost or stock android from what I've read and heard. I'm awaiting mkbhd and Mr mobile full review then make my mind up.

You'll be even more concerned if the oneplus 6t has an half decent camera

The app limitations is nothing new and it IS real. My 2XL doesn't keep background apps open either, it was one of the few things that I actually liked about the Note 9 that apps stayed open and web pages didn't reload every time I opened up Chrome.
I tend to not use a lot of apps so 90% of the time it doesn't get in the way but I do find that if my phone has been idle for maybe 3-4 hours when I open it up all bar 1 or 2 of the apps that were open have all been closed. Chrome web pages are a bit of a faff sometimes mind you.
Legitimately never knew this. Every android device I've had has always has the apps in the background and ready to resume. I don't play games but use a lot of apps it sounds pretty poor for a device at this calibre.

Damn I need to wait 2 more weeks before I can upgrade my EE contract or it will cost me £90 which is not worth the wait seeing as it's not out yet !

I need to see some more reg pixel 3 reviews and battery life tests. Im out the house upto 15hrs a day at times and dont get to charge too much, its a major concern.

Is Top Shot just video recording which activates as soon as you select that mode and picks the best frame?
Not video recording but constantly taking snaps.

I went and changed my order to the Mate 20 Pro. If I don't get on with it during the cooling period I'll swap it out for the 3XL.

Too good an offer to miss. Literally less than half rrp.

I've not watched this guy before but I love the idea of 'a day in the life'. As said, that mic is terrible though (and of course there's no 3.5mm jack to plug a mic in if you wanted).

The battery is probably not a concern for me. I barely ever do more than 2 hours screen on time and he also did a reasonable bit of SatNav'ing which kills batteries.

They include an adaptor in the box?

Yes I think I read somewhere that they are adding support for an external mic via usb c port on the bottom.
But that seems a bit daft in real world usage....
"Kids, hang on. Wooooow stop I just need to plug the microphone in" Dammn, missed it... :D

Yep, stupid AF.

I don't even have kids?!?! :p

With cameras as good as they are these days, I like the option of adding a really good mic. It's the only reason I like my Note 9 having a 3.5mm jack.
