Cheers for the confirmation. Could you please if you have time try a rebench if possible with 4 and 8xAA I want to see how good Fermi is with AA. I suspect its going to be an AA monster.

At low res, low frame rate, zero eyecandy and no AA much like all the other console games. :D

Basically I'm happy with the noise levels which was my biggest worry. A desk mounted shuttle which has a 5770 card in it is MUCH noisier.
Overall, from my limited time thus far. I'm very happy with the card, pleased I went with it over the 5870.

I was F5ing OcUK and some other sites all day yesterday so managed to get in there straight away. I was concerned i would get the dreaded out of stock, so waited until i got confirmed shipped before cancelling the other 480 pre-order i had.

Please remember that my system is shielded to some by furniture, that there are other computers in here, all on and being used. From this perspective the ONLY time I noticed the Fermi at all was when running Furmark stab test, at this point it seemed a little louder than when I tried the same test (several times recently) with my 280. If you weren't bothered by the noise level of a 280 then I suspect you wouldn't be bothered by the 480.

Oh wow, GTA 4 is Amazing. You can finally MAX IT OUT!

(4X AA 16 x AF in Nvidia Control Panel) and ALL the sliders to MAXIMUM! in GTA 4 Graphics options.

In game, i caused a mass, MASS explosion, in the center of town at night, and it dipped to 24FPS.
That's the lowest i've been able to get it.
It seems to just hang at 37FPS constantly though at these settings.

Thats with these settings:

And two 80gb intel g2 SSD's, if that makes a difference.

Temp's playing GTA 4 are 82 C in a Coolermaster 690 Advanced 2.
Fan speed went to 70%, i can't hear it over other fans in the case.
I sit about 1 metre away from my case, and its on my desk at ear level.

EDIT: Just add, i had two 280 GTX's in SLI Prior to this.. And imo, this card is making them look like crap.

A big thank you for running that. This card looks like an AA monster which is the main reason why I want one. 32xAA and TRSAA are my main reasons for buying this card.

I got wound up with reviews that only benched games at 4xAA on a top end card that was getting way over 60fps. To me that was totally pointless as the whole reason for buying a top end gpu in my eyes is to whack up the AA.
