Not sure. I think I have enough gold to get the only cards that will see play from this expansion and about 1600 dust which I'll spend on 2 Golden Polymorph: Boar's or a Legendary. I'd rather spend cash on a new SSD.

It's available until release.

Rank 9 - at last!!

Been back-and-forthing at the border of rank 10/11 all weekend then had a good streak of several wins last night, now at 9 & 2 stars

Still playing Midrange Hunter, seems to suit my style of play quite well

I'll be buying about 150 packs with gold. It won't be enough for the whole set but most of the new Legendaries are pants and a lot of the best cards are common/rare so it shouldn't be an issue getting up to speed.

I'm reluctant to spend more money on the game when I don't need to. I started saving gold as soon as I completed the GVG set with the goal of never spending money again (except adventures). If I do the same again this time I'll have a load of gold by next expansion and won't have to spend money then either.

im stuggling again, slipping back down the ranks.

tried the fel reaver mage deck and as soon as i drop it they unleash fury on me and i burn about 6-9 cards a turn.

dropped back to rank 16 & 1 star.

Joel, Im up to 14 with a revised Paladin deck.

Have to say honestly, that fel reaver deck... reeked.
But the Paladin deck is just monster with some minor tweaks!

i tried a non fel reaver mech. played a warlock. had 10 cards left in my deck including

2 x clockwork gnomes
2 x tinkertown technician
2 x frostbolt
2 x fireball

had archmage in hand.

he was on 5 health and i had a snowchugger on board.

did i draw anything i needed at all?? nope. gotta love this game

ps. what changes you made? i feel its a bit too aggro.

Ah bummer. That sucks.

Ill let you know the changes this evening when Im back home.
But seriously havent lost one game (save for 2 games due to frikkin WiFi disconnection and I was going to win those 2 games too!).

i dunno why i stopped using it to be honest. just played 2 games with it and won so thats a good thing. 1 more and im back almost to where i slipped from.

edit: played 5 and won 5 so now am down to rank 14.

The match that bumped me back down was one of those all-too-familiar frustrating matches against an aggro-Paladin; but I'd managed to effectively control him out of the match, he had no cards in hand and I had a very strong board - stormwind champ, 2x hyenas from a dead highmane, knife juggler, weakened Loatheb... I was 1-point off lethal the previous turn so had carefully cleared all his minions... but I was only on 6 health and he topdecked Leeroy... 1 knife juggler dagger did hit Leeroy but not the other

If you goto the quest log you will notice the Ranked Chest is live and top ranks are now being recorded. Turns out the rewards do not peak at Rank 5. See pics below for Legend chest and Rank 5 chest.

REWARD_CHEST_TIER1 -"Sea Giant's Treasure" (Legend through Rank 5)
REWARD_CHEST_TIER2 -"Ogre Magi's Stash" (Rank 6 through 10)
REWARD_CHEST_TIER3 -"Guardian's Chest" (Rank 11 through 15)

I've got the "Ogre Magi's Stash" - currently Rank 9 + 5 stars - Come on Rank 8!!!!

This is the best I've ever done in a season by an absolute mile... all that watching Trump and other streamers making a difference maybe?

So is the Legend - 5 chest the top one then or not? Be amazing if I could get to rank 5 but not sure if I will be able to make it

It is but before everyone believed you only had to get to Rank 5 for the top rewards. We now know that each chest itself is tiered depending on rank. So a Rank 8 "Ogre Magi's Stash" chest will give better rewards than a Rank 9 "Ogre Magi's Stash" chest for example.

tldr: Each Rank yields better rewards all the way up to Legend (and possibly beyond).

i was under the impression that regardless of rank 6 or rank 10 youd still get the same chest therefore the same rewards?

Not exactly the same. However, whichever chest you get the bonus reward is only 5 Dust per rank above minimum so there's no need to panic.

Rank 5 Chest is the cap, yes. Two golden commons, one golden Epic and 5-25 Dust.

Last night there were numerous posts on reddit of people showing various chest rewards. Chests attained at Legend rank were better than chests at Rank 5. If you click this link you'll see a Legend chest giving 4 golden cards and no dust. Next to it is a Rank 5 chest for comparison.
