The Official Hearthstone : Heroes of Warcraft Thread

I'll be making a thread when I get home tonight, but Chronicle: Runescape Legends is going into open beta next Wednesday (early access tomorrow).

I started it during closed beta and haven't played a single game of hearthstone ever since. Its a great card game, and truly offers something new to the genre. Worth checking out :)
 
just started playing anyfin pally. the strifecro version. its really good. currently down to rank 13 which isnt good but ive only started trying this season yesterday.
 
So, got into the game a bit more. I know nothing great but I suppose rank 14 isn't too bad for playing less than a week with 1000 dust deck.

I'm curious to know whether or not you guys will be pre-ordering the card pack for new expansion? I bought a couple of packs of the other sets and £35 seems like a decent deal compared to normal prices.

I suppose we have to see more cards but I guess for someone like me who hasn't got a lot of the old cards (apart from what comes with expansions) - it is likely that a lot of the new cards could replace the old ones (not necessarily better but should be equally good).

Rank 14 is good. Sounds like you're getting the hang of it.

Typically for a ~130 card expansion you will need ~200 packs to get close to completing the set so it's inevitable that I'll have to buy 50 packs at some point as I've only got ~14k gold in game. It's a good deal as you normally get 40 packs for that price and a cool(?) limited card back.

Remember the classic set is remaining in the new format and that contains the basis for the whole game. It's very important that you have a good classic collection as well as saving for the new WotOG cards.

You're right, a lot of the good cards are still in classic, especially for mage. I've had no idea and bought a bunch of GVG and TGT cards at the start! Didn't know what's good at the time.

Just found out you can buy those with Amazon Coins through phone as well and if you pre-order £50 worth you can get that pack essentially for £30.

I've mentioned the Amazon Coin Trick before, but it bears repeating. Buy Amazon Coins in bulk - 5k or more - when they're heavily discounted, and have the Amazon App Store version of Hearthstone on your phone or tablet. Then, do your purchasing through the app when there is a rebate on Coins for IAP to get a double dip discount.

In my case, I bought 10k Coins way back when they were mega-discounted (30% IIRC) and bought the pre-order pack yesterday with a 15% rebate. All told, my pre-order cost me less than £21.
 
Played one game today. I hate when you are down to 1 HP and give your opponent the courtesy to finish you off, and they prat around with buffing their minions and just showing off. Idiot.

And I don't care whether they have a quest that they need to deal x damage or summon certain number of minions etc. Finish the damn game off.

Waiting ages, I hate this too and I would classify in the same vein as showing off even when its clear you are the victor, but still decide to prat around buffing up and playing further minions. Finish the damned game off so we can get onto the next. Mammaries.

Maybe they want the exp. You get more exp per action done / card played. Not to mention the quests.
