The Official Hearthstone : Heroes of Warcraft Thread

Yeah definitely swap that rocketeer for argent commander or something. Not sure I'd use so many murlocs either. Would prefer a bomber or something.

To be honest that deck is pretty bad. I wouldn't expect any one to get far with it. Half those cards shouldn't be in any decks that are used for Rank play.

You need 2 Earth Shocks for Argent Squires, Leper Gnomes and general early game silence/snipe. You ideally want one of these in your opening hand.
You have no weapons, no lightning spells(!), no unbound elementals. Need a 2nd Fire Elemental.
Forget the mulocs, Arcane Golem, Rocketeer, Raid Leader, Gurabashi, Lord of Arena and War Golem. Murlocs and charge don't suit Shaman. Especially in this deck. There are much better neutral cards you should be using.
You have 2 Windfury and 1 Windspeaker. That's too much wind. Totemic might and 2 Anc. Healing is too much.

On to Rares.. Not sure how many you have but essential ones for Shaman are Feral Spirit X 2, Lava Burst, Mana Tide Totem if you have them.

Shaman decks are spell heavy.

Way to rip my entire deck to pieces :D

In seriousness, thansk for the feedback on it, I'm only at lvl 12 with Shaman right now, going for 10 with all classes for a start to get the extra coins, but I don't have much extra, have opened 3-4 packs overall and I think only 1 shaman specialism!

I'll definately look into the changes you named over time though, its def my favoured class so far, Mage seemed ok, Warrior & Rogue, not so much!

Sorry for the brutal honesty. Did think you had more packs/cards under your belt though :D

In that case all you need to do is look forward to the cards coming your way and learn to recognize an average neutral card from a great one.

Those mentioned here are staples in most decks for good reason and should be on your 'first to craft' list before any Class specific cards.

hehe no probs, I prob do have a few more, but I'll have a look through and see what I have again, for now I'm just 10'ing all levels & seeing which I would like to focus on more!

i had decent success with the basic shaman deck listed here

https://www.icy-veins.com/hearthstone-basic-shaman-deck

2x Rockbiter Weapon
2x Elven Archer
2x Windfury
2x Acidic Swamp Ooze
2x River Crocolisk
2x Novice Engineer
2x Flametongue Totem
2x Hex
2x Shattered Sun Cleric
2x Windspeaker
2x Chillwind Yeti
2x Sen'jin Shieldmasta
2x Bloodlust
2x Fire Elemental
1x Boulderfist Ogre
1x Stormwind Champion

Once you get some rares you cah then go up to something like this

2x Lightning Bolt
2x Rockbiter Weapon
2x Earth Shock
2x Forked Lightning
2x Faerie Dragon
2x Stormforged Axe
2x Novice Engineer
2x Hex
2x Unbound Elemental
2x Feral Spirit
2x Lightning Storm
2x Defender of Argus
1x Bloodlust
2x Azure Drake
1x Fire Elemental
2x Argent Commander

A few decent rares can make all the difference

At the end of the day any guides on sites are all in best case scenarios, you will learn far more about what suits your playstyle the more you play.

For me all the fun in the game is from arena, constructed is just not as balanced for me, at least with arena anyone can have the RNG gods to get a great deck, or indeed a terrible one :)

Yes they are very good examples.

For comparison to sharpygsxr's 2nd list this is the Shaman deck I currently run. You can see they are similar. Much success can be had with decks like this..

There is nothing more annoying than hex/transmutation sheep thingy :p not only do they completely destroy a minions stats, but they silence them too... :/

Really does swing the balancing slightly in the shaman/mages favor IMO, but I am new to it.

Started playing this last night (so only basic decks) but played a friend and he couldnt keep up even with his transform frog. I played druid and he played shaman if i made it to the later rounds i would just destroy him with all my big guys :)

Hex/Poly can be annoying but if you play smart you can often bait your opponent into using them on your slightly less decent minions before you play your big legendary or heavy-hitter...

If someone transforms one of my minions I love trying to buff the sheep/frog and use it to kill them - can be quite tricky but very funny when you pull it off :D

I'm seriously going to play the lottery.

Am i the only one here who has insane pack luck?

Girlfriend gave me some money for my birthday so i bought 15 packs, first 10 packs were okay, few epics and a gold common.

last 5 packs... Golden Cairne, next pack Cairne, next pack golden Hogger....

what the hell...

So i Disenchanted the two golen legendaries, crafted ysera and alexstraza, disenchanted pagle for 1600 and crafted the black knight.

stolen, well as best as I could replicate it with my cards :D

won my first game with it :) , looked like I was going to lose at one point vs the mage

Ive bought plenty of packs before, didnt have the best of luck with them but really enjoyed opening them.

I even bought the 40packs when i started playing, prob got 2 legendaries from those but nothin special, think i got grommash and tinkmaster.

Since playing so much arena ive managed to fill out my decks now so that im really only missing the legendaries now.

Warlock is still by far my least played class, need to work on that more, really enjoying druid and hunter atm.

That's not a bad deck at all mate.

I would swap out the Stormpike Commando for a better neutral basic like Dark Iron Dwarf. Chillwind Yeti, Senjin or a Frostwolf Warlord (to take advantage of your Totems presence). Stormpike is good in Arena but not constructed.

Gelbin is too much RNG and will screw you over. A Boulderfist Ogre or one of the cards mentioned will fill his slot nicely.

Those changes would make quite a formidable deck that if played correctly should get you some decent mileage.

The cards I've mentioned are all from the Basic set. Obviously if you get a good rare like Argent Commander consider using that.
