Enyo Framework

Fixed problem with DatePicker controls' returning incorrect date.

When filling out a form, if the user tabs to a form element behind the keyboard, the scene now scrolls to keep the focused field visible above the keyboard.

Corrected positioning of selection box displayed in response to a tap and hold on a word.

RowGroup.destroyControls() is now working properly.

Fixed issue in which an HtmlContent control inside a Scroller would not prevent links from being followed while scrolling.

Enyo Applications


Browser

The Browser app now hides the keyboard when the Bookmark pane is shown.

Fixed an issue in which touch events were not passed correctly to Web sites.

Contacts

Contacts synced via a third-party Synergy app can now be deleted after the app itself is deleted.

Location Services

Google Location Services now work for locations in the Southern Hemisphere.

Tools and Installers

SDK

The PalmSDK folder has been reorganized to make docs and samples easier to find.

palm-emulator no longer displays an error dialog when launching with VirtualBox 4.1.2.

palm-generate now generates Enyo apps (Mac and Linux only in this build). Note that in generated Enyo apps, the (full) path to enyo.js will need to be specified in index.html in order for the app to load in a desktop browser. For example, on the Mac, this would be "/opt/PalmSDK/Current/share/framework/enyo/1.0/framework/enyo.js".

Code Samples

New Samples

The following new code samples have been added:

Accelerometer - Demonstrates getting accelerometer, shaking, and orientation events.

InputSample - Integrated the existing multitouch sample.

Media - Added new Video Object demo, which demonstrates use of an HTML5 video object to play video inline with custom controls and sizing control.

MediaCapture - Demonstrates the new media capture APIs for sound, video, and images.

Services - Added Media Indexer sample.

WebView - Added example of intercepting link clicks and redirecting.

ZeroConf - Demonstrates the ZeroConf system service. ZeroConf is a discovery protocol that lets you find services on the local network without having to have a directory or DNS listing.

ExhibitionMode

Fixed bug in which the app, after being launched in Exhibition Mode, could not be relaunched in app mode.

JustType

Fixed db8 schema version issue.

Known Issues and Limitations

SDL apps may hang due to problems with polling new sensors.

SDL apps may crash when blitting to or from a NULL surface. The underlying issue has been identified and will be fixed in the next SDK release.

Im going to install now, Does dekstop visualizer work for making icons bigger? Always bugs me about Gingerbread on 10 inch screens are that icons are too small. Cant wait to try a XBMC remote that doesnt suck!

1)How did you get the apps onto the device? If via Market, how can I get my paid market apps on there (I know they won't all work as this is Alpha).
2) Can you see the WebOS files in file manager when booted into Android (just wondering as to whether to delete any WebOS apps I have to maximise the space Android can see). I could also create communal file areas if both OS see the same folders/filesystem
3) Does the notification bar (at the bottom) disappear when rowsing and watching files?

1) I just used my Google account and all my paid ones are there, haven't found any that don't work yet
2) Good question, I can't seem to see anything WebOS related but I'm sure I read that you can share partitions, I will investigate.
3) Notification bar stays there like on Honeycomb, I imagine there is a way to hide it somehow though, I will investigate this too. I'm used to it from Honeycomb though so didn't really notice.

Edit: I'm a dope, watching a video now and a down arrow appeared on the bar, and you can hide it.

This is a yuv420p encoded mkv and it seems to be working fine btw. MX Player seems to work better as Moboplayer was dropping frames on the same video. Some more details of the same video file (being badly played by my Apple TV xbmc) below:

I had random wifi dropouts for a while too, then they just stopped and it hasn't happened since

It's possible one of the reboots I did helped.

i get an error saying "navacom is not reconised" Im in the right directory. Where can i get the navacom drivers

You need to flash the whole lot of google apps in clockworkmod:

So basically after downloading that zip onto your touchpad, hold power, choose reboot into recovery (which will take you to clockworkmod) and then choose "update from sd card" and choose that zipfile.

I think if you plonk the gapp zip on the tablet with the rest of the files before the install process the gapps will automatically get installed as during the install process i was looking at the touchpad screen and it was looking for a gapp zip file it could install.

I'm really struggling with the WiFi even though its connected websites takes ages to load and searching the app store takes forever!
