Attention TouchPad owners: an update to webOS 3.x is now available for your favorite webOS tablet. webOS 3.0.5 is now available over-the-air for the TouchPad, bringing faster view switching in calendar, IM presence indicators in Email, support for HTTP video streaming, an easy on/off toggle for auto-correct, and the ability to insert a period when double-tapping the space bar. There are a number of other bug fixes in webOS 3.0.5, including better MP3 handling, the ability to view contacts for video calls, and faster scrolling in Email. All in all, we're looking at more small incremental improvements that make betterer the experience of webOS on the TouchPad. Nothing mind blowing, but we'll take what we can get.

does it mess up Android dual boot like it did last time?

I've tried to install the update twice but both times it has failed. Does the fact I have Preware installed have anything to do with this?

broke moboot for me, 10 sec job to reinstall though and android was untouched for me.

got a link to a guide on how to fix it?

i had real issues with my touchpad when trying to install preware and stuff like that, because i have a nokia phone it kept on opening Ovi Suite, took me hours and hours to find a fix.

edit: managed to do it, but it was a mission.

drivers were not working properly for some reason, same pc as i used last time as well with all the right stuff on it.

make sure when you put it into the special USB mode, that under device manager, it shows up as the "bootie" driver thing, it was showing as a Palm when i tried it.

I'll download it this afternoon. Cheers :)

It is good to see they are still supporting it in any case. I will be swapping to ICS when its in a decent state but I don't think that will happen before Q3 this year so every update that HP bring will be welcome.

The exact list of changes is here:

The HP webOS 3.0.5 update enhances core apps like Email and Calendar, improves the video calling experience, and fixes additional bugs.

Faster switching between Day, Week, and Month views, and faster event display in Calendar.
Faster scrolling when reading an email message.
Email attachments are now saved with draft messages.
Added sender photos and IM presence indicators in Email.
Improved stability when watching video in the Web app.
Improved handling of MP3s that are transferred from a computer using USB Drive mode.
Added a dedicated view of contacts available for a video call, for quicker setup of a video call.
New alert when video quality might be lower because of network issues.
When typing, pressing the space bar twice inserts a period. This can be toggled on and off.
Auto-correction can be turned off directly from the onscreen keyboard.
Added support for HTTP Live Streaming.

Done and working fine.

Working for me, too, although it appears to have killed a few of my Preware apps (Buttah, Reduce Minimum Brightness, Muffle System Logging), as well as my custom keyboard layout. I guess I'll look for Preware/app/IPK updates over the next few weeks...
