***The Official HP TouchPad Thread***

On top of the various function keys available on this keyboard a smaller Samsung keyboard also manages to have back, browser, email, voice search, language and app library keys. So the design could have been better.

They're convenient yes but not essential, doesn't detract from the usability of the keyboard. From the pictures it seems to have: task switching, screen brightness, media keys and power(assume this powers the tablet off?), I'd say this is adequate enough for it's purpose.

If it did have extra function keys it would be really nice if they were user assignable, just out of interest can you re-assign those keys on the Samsung keyboard?

If anyone in Manchester is after a case try the catalogue shop in Arndale, just been in there and out of curiousity checked stock (the internet said they had none) and it said please purchase at till... went up and got the 2 I wanted :) they still had a few more in stock. Very happy with touchpad but the worst thing is I've now spent most of my planned Bulldozer upgrade on 2 touchpads & all the accessories...

How can I stop this thing turning the screen off when listening to a radio stream on iPlayer?

You can set screen timeout to 1/2/5/10 minutes (settings->screen & lock), no idea how you set it to unlimited.

Anyone got a picture of the cover without a touchpad in it? Does the cover support it well enough when stood up?

Got my case/screen protector (impossible to fit without a small bubble or spec of dust but might just be me being useless (couldn't fit on my ipod properly either so I must suck)) and Touchstone dock.
I'm not loving the case but it'll do until I can find something I prefer. Keyboard is nice to type on but still to fully explore it's potential.

Still waiting on confirmations for spare Touchstones I ordered so anyone waiting on those will have to wait a little more :(

I can't seem to find either of the camera apps mentioned in the HP catalog, anyone know if you can download the .ipk for either of them?

make sure you're fully up to date, the camera app is only available for the latest update.

had the same problem on my girlfriends one.

Has anyone found a way to import your bookmarks from chrome/ie/ff onto the touchpad? Can't help but feel like I'm missing something obvious somewhere.

Hmm, I thought I had but maybe not. Once it's charged over 50% (seriously HP? it's plugged into the mains) I'll have a look.

Cheers :)

Edit: Yup that worked, had downloaded the update but not installed! Got the camera working, .AVI files playing and running at 1.5ghz now. Still hoping for an ICS port.

Everyone appears to be talking about the official case but has anyone got a slip for it yet? Personally I hate big cases like those and would much rather just have some fabric protecting it when it's being transported... Any suggestions?

Was on a flight today, Touchpad off as I'm a good lad. Tried to play a film through that Kalem after take off, seems it needs to get online to verify it hasn't expired so seems its a trial. Bit of a bummer as it wouldn't then play anything.

I'm sure any of the iPad ones would suffice, the original one had almost identical dimensions.

I was looking at one of the 'sock' type ones, £7 delivered:

Yup, confirmed. We really need a free AVI player that actually works.
