*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Helpful first post, thank you! (Welcome BTW)

Anyway, been researching and reading around on the 3G connectivity of T-Mobile around Bristol and the SW areas and the general consensus is that it's rubbish, but someone on here might say otherwise after I've posted this...

Now I'm thinking of buying this unlocked sim free and sticking my o2 simplicity card in, though I want T-Mobile since they have double the data allowance on their free usage policy if I remember correctly.

Will just wait a little while longer before I make any decisions I think...

Im on T-Mobile in Torquay and they are fine for 3G, at home its a different story though (newton abbot) but thats mainly down to the location of our house (edge of town in a heavily wooded area).

I was on T-Mobile previously, and had to cancel my contract because I couldn't get any signal anywhere. I spend most of my time in and around Birmingham, or Gloucester(shire), and their signal was dire.

I've been trying out Vodafone with a rolling contract, as I've never been with them, but so far, so good! :D

I just ordered one from MPD, I'm pretty excited about getting one. It'll be a big difference from the temporary Nokia 1661 I'm using :D

My O2 upgrade I found out isnt till June :( longer than I thought to wait.

My update with O2 isnt due til august, but I'm just going to pay off existing contract and take a new one with the Desire (and try and flog my existing e71 to help cover the cost).
Quite excited about this one!

ive gone and got a preorder desire

the 300mins 300texts unlimited net with tmobile for £25 and handset cost 5.99

i couldnt answer my current iphone the other day because all the buttons locked up when i was taking a call!!

i wanted the hd2, but no winmo 7 and no real possibilty of porting android

yep, thats why i got it, if i need more, i can top it up and pay 30 for unlimited texts and internet, works out way cheaper than on payg and buying it

whats it worth? say 400.. £10 i usually spend [and i dont get internet ATM]

Over 18months its..

contract
£450 @ 25/mnth
or
£540 @ 30/month

or payg
£400 for phone + £180 im paying atm = £580 [w/o internet and only o2 to o2 texts]

even if i pay £30 im still in profit, and not having to fork out for the phone now
