Just had a play around with one at work.

Not too shabby, but the menu scrolling seemed a bit jerky.

Its the CPU profiles, I'll put money on it. My Nexus did it until I installed SetCPU for root users. The phone varies the clock speed but seems a little slow in bumping it when you scroll I've set mine to a higher minimum CPU clock when the device is on, and to compensate and lower maximum clock when the device is in standby, that seems to not affect the battery life too much, and cure those issues

orange give much better 3g, but tmobile much better general coverage!

Ah crap, this was the ONE thing I hoped the iPhone competitors would have nailed. I can't understand why the iPhone's slickness/fluidity still hasn't quite been matched, hell, bettered yet, even with more RAM, faster CPUs...

I have the HTC legend rom running on my HTC Hero and all scrolling is the same slickness as iPhone.

It will be ironed out, if there is a problem.
