*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Just out with the misses for lunch and then cinema she's getting well peaved off with me lol already threatened to throw it out the window :D

Would love to see a lot of pics of your phone.
Have you had any slow down yet?
Hows web browsing?

Pictures of the phone or pictures taken with the phone?

The longest I've ever had to wait for it to do something is maybe 1 second, and that's pretty rare. All in all it's lightning fast, quicker than any phone I've used.

Web browsing is very good. It's the first phone I've had with a full web browser so it probably doesn't take much to please me, but it is everything I expect it to be. I have only been using it via Wi-Fi though because T-Mobile put me on the wrong plan without the unlimited internet (I actually spoke to the guy who personally set mine up, and he just made a mistake as they were all in a rush yesterday to get the handsets out ASAP!).

Picture of the handset and your home screens!!

Has anyone installed a sat nav program to it as i will be using mine as a sat nav quite a lot.

I would, but I need to find an easier way of taking snap shots of them, I'm a newb when it comes to Android :p

Not found a sat nav thingy myself yet..

I've taken a few pictures but none of them show the brightness/vibrancy of the screen. Anyone have any tips on how to take pictures to show this?

Edit: Off out, will try to post some good ones later.

I turned content block off via the website, but it didn't kick in until I rebooted the phone.

why would you want this over an iphone? as i plan on getting an iphone next month....

Maybe cos the iPhone is now outdated technology. Basically its a better screen, camera and a better OS. Screen is bigger and higher resolution.

I think its much nicer than the iPhone overall.

But if ur heart is set on the iPhone, nothing much will change ur mind.

Theres supposed to be a iPhone refresh due in June. £400+ is still pretty steep for old tech.

Havent got my heart set on an iphone, just love the itouch and my mobile contract ends next month, but if the HTC is better, i'll try that.

Is this phone likely to be better than the new iphone 4g, when then comes out?

Dunno abouth the rumored iPhone 4g. Its all only speculation. Apple have a lot of work to do to bring the iPhone anywhere near the Desire.

Many people where who have them now have commented on how much better than the current set of phones it is. Don't forget that it uses microSD for storage too.

I have the iPod Touch too, but i still say that the Desire is years ahead of it (even thos I dont have a Desire)

thanks for the advise. Dont suppose you know if o2 will give out my PAC (i think its that) code so i can take my number to t-mobile. I cant technically cancel with o2 for another month yet...

They will likely not give your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) until you are out of contract... Can always ask tho

If you ask now for the PAC, they will at your request immediately bill any remaining line rental (so your remaining month), then as long as you use the PAC code before a new month (out of your contract) starts then you will only be charged for any call charges etc. you have made.

It works out the same as waiting since you will pay the same. If you wait till the end of the contract then it is likely you will be paying a week or so extra out of your contract (pro-rata).
