*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Does one have a different mAh rating? Also, they might be cycled differently.

I've fully cycled my battery twice now and on OpenDesire 2.3 it lasts 2.5 days with talking / txts light browsing, watching a 40 minute episode of Smallville and some app downloading

Same rating. I might do a controlled test this weekend, where I fully drain both batteries, charge them for a few hours until 100% and then use them normally to see how long they last :)

Guys, at the airport for a weekend on the lash in Germany, what do I need to do to just make it a phone, and turn off all data and anything that will cost me

In Mobile Network Settings turn off the option "Data Enabled" and make sure Data Roaming option is also disabled.

Data is still enabled with use 2g only, it just polls data through the old skool network band.

Try and press the power button once

Doesn't work I'm afraid, I've tried every combination of buttons with no luck. Others have experienced the same problem and the best solution seems for HTC to repair it. I downloaded some apps to test the proximity sensor and it wasn't registering at all.

I've installed defrost this afternoon, and one thing im really missing from sense is the contact manager that centralises all the info about a contact in one place, ie facebook photos and updates, emails. texts, call history etc, choose which facebook person to sync them with etc

Anyone know of an alternative to this? it's the only thing I miss about sense at least this far!

Thanks,

Tom.

I just kept the data roaming option turned off and it did the same. Same thing but it means that when I come home I dont need to faff about turning data back on as its my home network and I didnt turn home data off....

p.s. If you are on T-Mob it wont let you on the foreign data network anyways until you follow a couple of steps i.e. load up the browser and buy a package which is kinda cool I guess as then you know what you are spending...

I prefer the look of stock android over sense but simply cant get away without the htc dialer unfortunately just makes things so simple, and have yet to find a suitable alternative

what clock is that? also, how have you made the "power control" bar look so sleek?

Cheers

Tom.

After disappointing battery performance on defrost I've given open desire a shot. I think I've found 'my' rom

Much of a difference mate ?

Nothing chews battery like browsing on mobile networks, I can go through two batteries on a day when i have no work, It's unreal.

Does anyone use transdroid ? Antway to apply labels to remotely added torrents ?

Hi guys,

Normally at work I've got 2/3 bars of signal, all of a sudden today I've got absolutely nothing. Normally when I switch the phone on it'll connect to Orange pretty sharpish, but today...nada, just sits there saying emergency calls only.

Has anyone else experienced this, frustrating because damned if theres a way for me to tell easily whether it's the phone or the network, and I dont really want to factory reset my phone to try and found out!
