1Hr 45Mins on the phone and nothing else since unplugged @100%.

SetCPU Max 998 and Min 245, Low brightness, Gmail push and weather widget is all that updates.

DeFrost 2.4d HAVS 800Mv Kernel.

I'm not impressed by that.

Might go Open Desire to see how that fairs.

I'm a pretty new convert to the Desire and I'm perplexed by one thing: what is the point of the optical trackball? I can't foresee a use for it myself. I did try it on a couple of games including Sky Force and it's less than useless.

Still nice to have a navigation tool just incase the touchscreen goes kaput.

I need to stay out of this thread. :(

Just updated my Magic to CM 5.x but seeing everyones Desires even now makes me want one.

I can never get anywhere near that for battery life. Mine still lasts a day max, it's still my screen eating the power what's everyone's brightness set to? I'm running defrost 2.4d with the UV kernel.

Edit: one other thing has anybody posted a tutorial on how to get that battery circle thing. I see it's possible on defrost from the image earlier.

To switch from say defrost to OD do I have to format the SD card or just the other stuff? It's just such a pain backing all of that stuff up.

No, although I do as I like to be super clean. I even kill the partition and set that up again too. You can just do a nandroid backup which is an image backup.

OD is by far the best battery life ROM available. I haven't had my phone on charge since Thursday night and its still got 20% left.

Phoned Orange about the stock and i was told they only recieve 100 phones at a time, and because of the recent error with back logging orders they go out of stock straight away. :( Apparently a new batch are being tested this weekend for availabilty on 26/7/10 if I can get a order secured I will be happy after waiting 3 months Zzz

Just tried to flash OD 2.3a using unrevoked and it just quits and stops the moment i press to update. Defrost flashes fine, I've downloaded the OD rom multiple times but it's too quick for me to notice any error messages. Nandroid back to Defrost for now.

Just a heads up. If you are using Open Desire 2.3 or later, don't install the supercircle battery framework. Your battery will vanish quicker than you can pull your pants down after a hot ruby....

Most phones seem to quote a talk time of 4.5 hours, so that is pretty average

With a stock ROM, Not running SetCPU and 800mv kernel i would say average too.

Going to all that trouble trying to save battery and it's not making a huge difference.

Quite a few bugs still in OD 2.3a for me.

AdamG is working on 720 recording today apparently :)
