Has anyone had to send their Desire back to Orange due to dust under the screen?
I noticed a few specks a month or so ago, but it's getting progressively worse (left side, about 15mm below the volume rocker). There is now a significant amount there, but my local Orange shop have simply told me to call CS and speak to them - very helpful
It's not really noticeable during normal use, but shows up a lot when watching video
Not Orange, but my Desire from O2 suffers from dust under the screen, in almost the exact same position as you mention, just below the volume rocker.
They replaced it (mainly because I complained as they gave me wrong information), rather than repairing it.
Which LeeDroid are you running? In the latest (1.8b), you need to flash the optional A2SD+ update separately. Make sure you have a partition on your SD card and it should be good to go when you first boot up.

can i just place the nextsense zip file onto the sdcard and upgrade from my current froyo rom.
can anyone please put into a few steps on how to do this ?

Does your recovery not give you the option to flash a zip from the SD card from the "Flash" menu?
If not then you need to get a better recovery image, something like AmonRA's R5 permanent recovery:

Not transparent, I like the stock lock screen and I flashed the battery % mod as the circle C version was harder to read from a distance.
It's really pretty easy dude, download unrevoked, download R5 recovery, open unrevoked, choose file > custom recovery then choose the R5 you downloaded and then once done connect the phone.
And then you enter recovery and flash the rom form sd!

yes, i used the flash recovery tool and the r5 image, I run form dos window, as soon as phone is plugged in i get error.
