*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

As long as you're using a compatible rom I think it should be fine. Nandroid beforehand though!

If your ROM is based on one of the kerneltypes which can be selected in the kitchen then I think it should be fine, also the kitchen will tell you if it failed to cook your zip file!

My music is bigger than my SD card on the phone so no go for me, instead I use aWinamp Remote to wirelessly control Winamp on my PC from anywhere in the house. Offers full playlist control, volume, seek, search etc too :)

Excellent, thanks.

Was just looking for a media player. Seems to be working great :)

yeah used that aswell, i have a 16gb card and you can sync over certain albums, im at about 60gb of music so that's not gonna happen.

for those that care, i saw a class 4 32gb card on play for £60 which sounded like a good price.

this app is the best music one going i have tried them all in detail, i uninstalled the others

Can't get the wi-fi sync to work on Winamp - anybody got any tips?

Plugged in using cable and it recognised Android device and all that.

Tried doing the discovery, nada. Definitely turned on in the settings, definitely connected to the same subnet.

I might have the opportunity to get the HTC desire over the next few days, but it might be on Orange. Is there much branding on the phone when it comes on Orange? Does anybody here have a Desire on Orange?

My friend has one from Orange, and there is SO much stuff on there.

If I was you I would just put the standard ROM on there before you do anything else!

Ha just check out Khaaan's guide, its the best thing to use! Very simple

Say I followed that guide, what happens if something went wrong? Is there a way of restoring the phone back to factory settings like when I first receive it?

What about any Android updates? Will they get sent to the phone like normal? Also does it allow you to download Apps from the Market like normal?

Sorry for all the questions! :p

Unless you flash the wrong files noting should go wrong :p

You could always flash an RUU to restore it though I guess!

Hmm, anyone on defrost (5.7) noticed flash is dead? iplayer and youtube wont work for me in the browser.

No problems here, the new Youtube app is amazing!

really? there was very little on mine, about 2 or 3 non removable apps, and just the orange boot logo and theme, theme easily changed to whatever you want so id hardly call it loads, having said that still went ahead and rooted it :)
