*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Just received the 2.2 update to my stock HTC Desire on O2. After installing I'm now sat here with a bricked phone, great!

Looks like I'm off to the O2 shop tomorrow or spending some time on the customer service line.

My girlfriend has just got her new Desire, now after trying (and failing) to convince her that she'd rather have my Hero than the new Desire she has decided that she wants a cover for it as she will be prone to dropping it regularly.. I've got a little gel type one that I got off Ebay for a couple quid for my Hero, just wondering if anyones got any recommendations for a similar one for the Desire?

I got the official HTC leather slip pouch. Simple, slim and protective enough.

I've not ventured into this thread in a while, I've just been steadily updating defrost revisions. I have however noticed that my phone crashes far too much. Freezes up and I have to pull the battery to get it to reboot.

The phone does seem to get warm really quickly. It can be while browsing the internet, texting, anything. Sat-nav seems to be the worst offender for this though.

What are my options? Does it seem faulty? I've modded and rooted it all now so don't really have sending back as an option. Also I'd probably get an SLCD in return should I do so.

I'm tempted to go back to stock anyway just to see if this cures the problems I'm having. Currently I have Defrost 5.4 with the recommended radio update.

I've found Defrost 5+ to be very unstable on my phone too, with it rebooting at least once a day at random. So much so I've gone back to LeeDroid for the time being, whilst I wait for a Desire HD rom :p

play have loads of bits almost as cheap as ebay if yo type in 'desire' but i find ebay is great for gel cases and so on.

I've always found Defrost to be quite unstable for me too, I'm on Supervillain HD at the moment and that's extremely stable and fast. I'd suggest trying a different ROM.

I'm waiting on a working camera before I really give SupervillainHD a go (although I flashed it the other night and liked what I saw). Running LeeDroid 2.2b at the moment. Battery life isn't as good as DeFrost though.

Yeah - I'm having trouble finding a 100% stable rom right now, it's quite annoying, I get random freezes and reboots every now and then... Also had this one issue when running DeFrost whereby the screen stayed on and was eating battery, and getting super hot... Not good.

No trouble with DeFrost really here, even HAVS now works fine without issues.

+1

Not sure what other's troubles are, but I'm pretty sure its not down to DeFrost. I've been on it for a couple of months now and its been rock solid. Also running HAVS as well.

Notice the slight change to the noti-tray in the current DeFrost ROM builds?

I like!

How do you get that cool plugged in / charge icon in Defrost? ... I plug mine in to charge, and get the standard battery charge indicator :(

With a Brodit Active car mount, will the Desire fit with a silicon skin on it?

If not how scratched do your phones get without a skin (have screen protector on through)

I've had mine since April and not a single scratch on it, never had any skins or screen protector on it
