haha true, oh well i guess il look into it again when they fix it...isnt the official version supposed to be out by year end?
I'm giving DeFrost a go at the moment, been using LeeDroid for months up until now. So far I'm missing the HTC widgets and also HTC sync. Also my buttons aren't backlit anymore, I've tried changing some settings in CM6 but no joy - any ideas?

Actually the new builds of DeFrost use the light sensors to activate the button lights

This is what I thought as well, but it was last night in pitch black in bed that I noticed it! I've set the buttons to 255 at all light settings in th CM6 settings but no joy.
I'll keep fiddling.That's what it was like and it didn't work, so I put them all to 255.
I've just turned off the custom levels and still no lights, and I look silly with my head in my coat sleeve looking at the phone in the dark

Sounds like your phone didn't entirely escape the wrath of the poo.
Different handset - my missus has the poo one.
Also the lights work fine on LeeDroid so it's ROM specific. I did a full wipe etc and still no joy.
The lights are working on my colleague's phone using DeFrost, he also came from LeeDroid. I guess I might try flashing the ROM again, maybe ROM Manager didn't wipe everything.
EDIT: Still no joy, weird - I wiped everything manually from clockworkmod this time, wiped Dalvik cache, formatted sd-ext etc. Still no lights on the buttons, I'm wondering if my light sensor is a bit iffy or something as the screen is always really bright on auto, but light sensing apps seem to work ok.

Possibly silly question. Is the new radio - 32.48.00.32U_5.11.05.14 - any good and is there a problem with just flashing it normally? I can never remember
seems fine to me, though it will depend massively on your network...especially if your with orange
Oh well, I couldn't get my buttons to light up with DeFrost, completely wiped the lot and still no joy. I reckon it's my light sensor being dodgy but it's a phone supplied by work so I cba sending it back to get another. Installed LeeDroid 2.2e and the buttons are lit again.
To be honest I missed the HTC widgets anyway, especially the Exchange mail and calendar ones. I would also miss HTC Sync I think.

I did mine too, with the bootable CD. Very easy and quick.
Handy for using Adfree from the market rather than constantly flashing the old Defrost hosts file or fannying around with ADB.
I installed the SenseHD ROM last night, I didn't really see that much different? Although I only played around for about 20 minutes before putting DeFrost on.
