*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

I got the Desire sim free for £399... such an awesome phone, I'm just not sure I made the right choice on buying sim free. I could probably sell it for £399 as it has only been out the box 1 day and is as new then buy a contract if I can find one.

I ideally would like a contract phone for £15 a month with unlimited texts and data, maybe 300 mins... but no where I can find does anything like this that. Any ideas? Thanks! or do the expensive route of keep sim free phone and buy o2 simplicity deal that fits my needs? and also I don't want any more than 18 months contract either... ideally Id like a 12 month but the only option there is the nice expensive one of keep my sim free and buy an o2 sim.

Also, the media playback through earphones is pretty loud even on the lowest setting... anyone else get this? It's pretty annoying not being able to turn it down even lower. Ta folks!

I was going to suggest going through quidco and getting the 12month £20/month o2 simplicity for smartphones, but it looks like they've stopped the £100 cashback(as well as the £160 for £25/month ones).

Just a quick question,

I have got the £30 a month from orange and I get 'unlimited internet' which is capped at 500mb.

Firstly, how many networks actually give you unlimited internet.

Secondly, how do they get away with this. Is this not somewhat akin to saying unlimited calls and texts and then only giving you a few hundred. I know that the small print explains but it strikes me that it shouldn't have to because the service is in no way unlimited in the first place and should not be advertised as so.

None of them, all of them apply a FUP. T-Mobile give me 3GB before cutting off my access in peak times. Orange would let me hit 500MB then would charge me for anything I use on top!

Any MPD people got theirs? I was told yesterday that it WILL be here today before six. I've been pestering them for the past hour and they insist its on rout to arrive before 6. I still can't get a tracking number off them as they are always still busy.

Still 2hours left but i have a feeling i'm going to be let down again.

Ok well 2nd Desire has now turned up even though i explicitly told MPD that i wanted to cancel the order, had confirmation from them of cancellation and that the delivery bloke had instructions to just return the package.

Well I got home to find a box on the doorstep, no one had signed for it.

I refuse to pay for postage back to them so if they don't collect it, its their loss.

Am i correct in thinking the contract will only go live when you put the sim card in and fire the phone up ?

Just rang T-mobile to check on my order from last friday, was told that HTC have informed them more stock will be arriving Sat/Mon so looks like another week of waiting :(

Wow last fri you ordered??...thats not good business...you should have had yours this week with the new stock coming in....id give them hell and threaten to cancel...you might get something in return ie money knocked off the price or half price line rental...id give it a go in all honesty.

Well MPD didn't deliver my phone today after countless promises it was on its way today. Vodafone can't tell me when they have stock.

I really feel like cancelling now, when you see people getting theirs already yet i ordered before them.

Not happy
