*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

i have my first tmobile bill today but have not recieved the sim with my phone, so ive emailed them wanting an explanation..partial refund, its been pre activated, and i cant use it, :/ stuck my o2 PAYG sim in minus internet :/

will not be using MPD again!

On the far left home page ive got my 'phone managment screen'
Widgets -> power control
shortcut -> battery
widget -> settings -> mobile network
As well as netcounter app

Lets me quickly turn stuff on/off that can drain the battery quickly, still finding uses for my other home screens :P

Noob question, how do I turn 3g off as its connected still lol.

If you mean data in general: APNDroid from the market, or just connect it to a WiFi source, it will automatically choose that over 2G/3G

If you just want to drop to 2G (Why? :confused: ) switch of 3G in the menus as in the post above :)

does anyone ever have an issue when texting that it's fairly easy to accidentally hit 'send' even if you're half way through the message. Is there any way to get a confirmation that you are ready to send, if you hit send?

Is it because you are hitting the return key? If so I believe it is possible to edit the behaviour of this button in the settings from "send" to "return" :)

Failing that try a different messaging app? I've not tried any personally as the stock has been fine for me, but I'm sure others can recommend a good one :)

thanks, no it's more that the actual 'send' button is just above the keyboard and once i did accidentally press it and it sent the message straight away. no worries. still majorly getting to grips with this phone having had the same old samsung for about 4 years!

still had no text to say me phone is on the way, but my plan has changed to the new one on the t-mobile site. so its looking good as i was told this wouldnt be done until the phone is sent :)

is there a way to have a traditional inbox / sent box / drafts etc for messages rather than having it all lumped into one conversation. I can't even find where the draft messages are kept actually (i've had a saved to drafts notification come up when i pressed the back button half way through composing a text)

^^when you are at your inbox... press menu then select folders> drafts etc ;)

anyone else find that music/media plays very loudly through earphones, even on lowest volume?

^ thanks!

another problem - i can't connect to download any new widgets / programs etc. everytime i press 'get more htc widgets' i just get a message saying 'unable to download widgets tap to try again'...any ideas? i'm only on wifi at the moment if that makes any difference??
