The z2 is my first choice (always has been)
Tbh after this if the Samsung wasn't so ugly the s5 would be my second choice

As it is the s5 and m8 are tied for second.

Can these phones really do a good job at 1080 yet?
I would have thought 720 and upscale might be a better target?

Incredibly disappointed with this and the prices are insane for it aswell, does anyone know when the Z2 is out?

I agree with the Z2 being the better device as well. Big shame HTC decided to add more "fun" effects with the rear cameras instead of improving it. At least the battery life seems like a good improvement.

yes out of the new flagships i would only want a google edition, hope we get that choice soon , the yanks have it all to themselves for almost a year now

Imo it offers nothing more than what's already out except a new name and a huuuge price tag
I think none of the potential exciting features that were speculated materialised either

The front looks worse, the on screen buttons make it worse, the same 4MP rear camera is a let down...

Little wonder why HTC have problems. They just needed to take the M7, add an SD card, sort the bottom bezel of the phone out by either putting the three buttons on there or remove it and have them on screen and do the performance bump - slightly larger battery if possible, 8MP (or more if possible?) camera. Voila, what the M8 should be.
