*** The Official HTC One M8 Thread ***

Annoying, trying to flash to GPE following the links and have adjusted the cid/mid numbers but still keep getting FAILED (remote: 24 parsing android-info fail)

Any ideas?

Definitely tempted by this phone rather than keeping my One S and getting a cheap monthly sin.

Worried about the camera "fogging" problem though. It seems about as prevalent as the flaking MAO coating was on the One S, which again was something HTC refused to admit was their error. What do?

My camera seems fine so far, had the phone for a few weeks!

Maybe it only effects certain batches?

My missus just got a m8 and has a couple of questions:

1: each time the screens unlocked it goes to the internet. Can this be changed?

2: what are the best cases / socks etc to protect the phone?

Thank you

Bought some cork wraps from slickwraps.com and some camera protectors, (To prevent the "fogging" problem.) Excellent price already, though SAVE25 gets 25% off aswell, plus the shipping (USPS First Class.) was cheap as chips. Bargain. :)
Also have a casemate tough naked on the way, now to wait and see if I can fit the case on with the wraps. :D

*Edit. Here is a $5 off one referal link for slickwraps http://email.offers.curebit.com/c/Z...RpZmllcl9vZmZlcnNfZW1haWwmZW52PXByb2R1Y3Rpb24

Not sure if it works with the SAVE25 code though worth a try; super bargain if it does.

Are you unlocking by dragging the earth icon? if so do it with the padlock.

Unless you make a habit of dropping phones before selling them on, don't bother. Just enjoy the phone naked. It's gorgeous; why cover it up?

I'm wary after all of the reviews in terms of it picking up general scratches etc fairly easily. I end up starting with a case and abandon it eventually :P

Will need to see how the phone is in the hand before I decide I suppose.

Well my BoomBass arrived today, and it doesn't work with the Google play edition :p

Tested it with a colleagues One Max and it's pretty impressive. Acts just like a subwoofer whilst the phone speakers handle treble.

Just ordered one for myself.

I have an old blackberry for work, but fed up with rubbish apps, terrible camera and general lack of anything decent on it.

1gb data, unlimited text and mins - £50 for the phone - £28 a month on o2. £63 cashback via topcashback.

Should be here tomorrow.

Think I'm going to bite the bullet and get one too. Will probably just get the £28/m o2 deal with 500/unlim/500mb as I don't use more than that currently (can't get 3G in work or half my commute! and EE is no better here) + £40 quidco.
