*** The Official HTC One M8 Thread ***

I think the camera fogging issue could have been batch related - I've been using a new m8 for a couple of weeks since I had the issue with the old one and I'm not noticing any damage to the lens coating.

I'm having a weird problem with my m8. I keep on getting a bunch of random photos appear in the gallery. They seem to be related to some game called farm heroes saga, and one other game I can't think of off the top of my head. The weird thing is that I haven't installed either of these games on my m8, so I don't know why the images are on my phone in the first place.

I've deleted the images from the gallery and from the google auto-backup thing that they keep on appearing under, yet a couple of days later they seem to reappear. Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas how to sort it? I assume they are associated with some app or game I've installed.

You might be able to track down the app by viewing the details of the image. I'm not sure about the stock gallery, but quickpic displays the image path:

You could also add a .nomedia file in the same directory to exclude it from the gallery.

Ok so I received my phone m8 today...love it! Having to get back into the android groove again since I'm coming back over from Windows Phone 8.1 but this time I'm definitely going to try out custom launchers for different home screen icons etc.

Wrapped it in a Case Mate Barely There as I have to say I'm worried about dropping it. Compared to my M7 it certainly feels a lot snappier and doesn't heat up anywhere near like that handset did.

The form factor and weight seems to trade off very well but like others I wish they could have done away with the black bar under the screen.

Loving it so far and looking forward to seeing how it copes over the coming days with the battery life.

Definitely like it a lot more than I thought I would.

Mine arrived today and coming from an old works blackberry it's something else!! Lots of learning to do!

Looks and feels lovely - just getting usual stuff like facebook and stuff up and running and more fiddling tomorrow. So far very impressed.

Ok so the phone has been off its first full charge since 6:20am this morning and still has around 43% charge left...well colour me impressed :) considering I've been messing about with the phone a good bit, listened to around 3 hours if music, internet browsing, texts calls, some pics...the lot...I can't help but be very happy with what I'm getting out of this.

Coming from an M7 and Lumia 1020 it's a godsend to actually have a reliable battery life

Need to put a stock recovery back on mine for this OTA update that keeps popping up, anyone got a link that would work with an o2 UK version of the device?
