*** The Official HTC One M8 Thread ***

Has anyone had any trouble with the 'paint' scratching or almost chipping off the back of this phone? I've had it for a few weeks now and always kept the case that came with the phone on. I was very disapointed when I took it off for the first time today :(
 
I've s-off'd and unlocked the bootloader on mine, and the Drive promotion didn't work.

Contacted HTC live chat support and went through their troubleshooting steps (obviously none if it worked, I'm not even using sense anymore :p). In the end he sent me an email to redeem the offer.

Got my 50GB :)

Just converted my M8 to GPe edition. Was worried for a bit as it was on number 9 for a while.

Just rebooted, yeah.

Now to see what all the fuss is about.

I only needed to add my CID to the text file as my MID was listed.

I like it as well. Never used Blinkfeed, but it seems like a feature that would be pretty great if you customise it right. Also, I might think about getting a case, will have a look around.

I got it really with the idea that I might even replace my tablet, and on first impressions I think I will be able to do that.
 
Me and my gf both got brand new phone contracts last week.
She got the htc one m8 and i got the sony z2 and both are fantastic phones.
They didn't have the color she wanted in the shop at the time so traveled few miles to pick one up in gold however when we got there it was a demo and they weren't having any of it when my gf protested asking for brand new one.
Since then her apps have been constantly crashing and the phone has shut down a couple times by itself.
Surely if you buy a new phone/contract you are entitled to a phone that hasn't been opened before?
