Are you on Trickdroid 5.4? As the new version has quieter audio, there is a patch within that thread.
I am, and I hadn't realised. To XDA!

Received my HTC One but Vodafone haven't sent me my new miniSIM card which they said would be sent!: mad:
Myth/Question #4: My device was advertised as a “Zero Gap Construction” phone. When I look at the speaker grills I can see slight raising between the speaker grill an screen. Is this a warranty issue or something I should send in for repair?
A: Your device is likely within specification. The front speaker grills are cosmetic and not part of the “zero gap construction.” A hairline space between speaker grill and frame will have no impact on performance.
Our “Zero gap construction” references to our refined design to create a seamless body of the device which does not include the speaker grills.
Myth/Question #1: The HTC Logo is a capacitive key that can be programmed as an extra input option.
A: There is an XDA video showing a user who mapped this HTC logo to respond to button presses. Even with that video- this is false. There is no capacitive sensor located in that area. The XDA user programmed the final row of pixels (or a couple rows) located in the middle of the phone to be accessed as a keypress. There is no hardware supporting capacitive touch in this location (one of the engineers showed me the opened up device personally).
I'm still not having much luck with my emails. I don't seem to receive them automatically, I have to manually check the 'Mail' app and it refreshes and suddenly the emails pop up. Anyone else finding this or is push working ok?
settings - accounts - google acc - tick sync mail?!
checked if there's a shop near you with a sim cutter?
I need to keep my existing sim as I am keeping my number and transferring it to the new sim - don't want to risk something going wrong and then having no mobile number to use.
That doesn't make any sense! What I meant to say is that if the phone has any problems with it and I need to return it then I won't be able to use my existing phone if I cut the sim up (unless I glue it back together again!).
So not chancing it.
