I hope you didn't write that post on it!

Hmm strange that

I am pretty sure that getting the widgets to work with a 3rd party isn't possible since they are tied to the sense framework (at least they were with previous versions anyway.....), only device I know of where you can use widgets with 3rd party launchers from a OEM skin are the touchwiz/galaxy devices.

Well either way, if they can get them to work then it shouldn't be long till apex/nova etc. do too! :p

Where is the cheapest place I can get this on the Three network? My upgrade page is asking for £40 a month & there's not a chance in hell I'm paying that for it. Especially when my S2 was £29 a month.

They even want £38 a month for the nexus 4 hahaha.

Hi Guys,
The Mrs was interested in this as her upgrade but has heard bad reviews about the camera? Can anyone advise on it?

The camera is one of the best you can get. Just don't expect to be able to enlarge, zoom and crop the pics too much as they will look bad ( due to low pixel count)

That was with the old firmwire that the reviewers had, the current 1.2.9 gives a good boost to the camera quality. Scroll back this thead, there are some good examples on here.

A mate's getting a Ho on 3 today so by Mon at the latest I can have a decent look and play out of a shop setting, I told him the only other phone that came close was the s4 and that it was a 6 and 2 3's situation with the main drawback of the Ho being, ironically, build quality, he will have no trouble returning a device and is generally v v lucky so I bet his will be perfect, I'm probably more excited to see it than him:o

His main criteria for choosing over the s4 was the style factor, each to their own and the speakers, he's coming from an HTC desire, folk who come from a 2+ year old phone will be blown over by any of the flagships hardware capabilities imho even the XZ.

Talk about a wide taste the 2 cases he has it narrowed down to are the Poetic Atmosphere and the Otterbox Defender with no case as his third option, waiting to see it before choosing.

Anyone else having this problem?

I'll be writing out a text at work and the work phone will ring or something so I turn the screen off. Annoyingly it doesn't save a draft straight away. Then a few messages later the draft appears.

might get one of these in a couple of months for the wife hopefully the price will be cheaper then.

Lol, I wouldn't say that was the "main drawback" of getting the HTC one :p  The only "faults" (some aren't even faults as posted before), which people express are a slight overhang of screen, less than a mm gap at the top/bottom and some have other rare issues. You could also say the same for the GS 4 but imo it is more of a drawback than purely "aesthetic" issues (which are only noticeable under certain conditions), where as the GS 4 issues do affect general usage i.e. overheating (not comfortable to hold, causes throttling, not just in performance but also the screen brightness throttles too), screen issues (pink tint and/or red pixels, not uniform etc.), audio crackling with certain earphones with some music amongst other things.

In terms of "build quality", the HTC one is still far better than the GS 4 and other phones in this area even with 1 or 2 tiny tiny gaps and minor overhang or whatever (as I posted previously with pics, the GS 4, one S etc. have more and bigger gaps than what the one does), the problem is QC.

At the end of the day, there are "perfect" devices out there (for both devices) and you only ever get people posting the bad stuff on the "internet" so it will appear that said device is full of problems when perhaps it really isn't for the "majority" of people.

Just make sure he is aware that the zero gap term only applies to the machined metal body, not the speaker covers ;) TBH, if he isn't "anal/OCD", I bet he won't even notice any of the so called issues :p

I've had this now for about 6 weeks or so and to be honest its one of my favourite phones I've ever owned. There is nothing I can think that I'd like to change on it, battery life is good, screen is good, performs well, great speakers, camera which is good enough for the few times I use it etc. When I had my note 2 I was wavering back to an iPhone but the HTC One has made me glad I stuck with Android and particularity this one.

Thanks for that buddy. I shall order it from there after I've tried calling them & seeing if they'll budge.
