Still cant decide on this or the S4 ahhhhhhh
HTC one:
- superior loudspeakers
- better camera overall (macro shots, OIS, wider FOV, low light, the way zoe works is better since you don't have to select the required mode first and you can apply a number of affects at any time and more importantly you capture more consistent usable shots so it is much better if you have kids, pets, HDR mic [although this may have been replaced by now] and overall better video recording)
GS 4:
- removable battery + SD slot (am sure Samsung will also release a bigger battery in the future that doesn't add any extra weight or size, like the gs 3 bigger battery)
- RGB NLED
- better camera in bright conditions and mainly landscape areas + better HDR mode, much better when it comes to zooming/cropping
- slightly better battery life
- much quicker charge time
Design, screen and software are personal preference, for me:
- GS 4 is more comfortable in the hand where as the HTC one feels far more premium/solid
- Prefer the GS 4 screen for true blacks, vivid colours, infinite contrast ratio etc. HTC one screen is also fantastic.
- sense is MILES better, the UI is clean, unified, professional/minimal looking (hate the sense launcher though) and the browser, camera + gallery app are amazing apps that no 3rd party apps can replace imo
Touchwiz has more features throughout but a lot of it is gimmicks (besides you can now get most of the features
via an app) and the UI is awful, there is no unified feel, colour scheme looks awful and due to the bloat etc. it actually doesn't feel as quick overall as the htc one or other phones (at the start it was much worse and it received an update, which vastly improved it), if you root and flash a custom rom, this won't be a problem then.
- I really like the design of both the phones, although prefer the GS 4 design overall, I think the front and sides look better, essentially the only thing I don't like about the gs 4 is the plastic finish. HTC one just has too much bezel (the price you pay for front speakers though), stupid navigation buttons and logo placement etc.
