Im confused as to what you mean? 4.4.2 is kk isn't it? or hasnt it been completely rolled out in the UK on all carriers?

4.4.2 is KK, it hasn't been officially rolled out for both unlocked and carrier handsets. I S-OFF'd mine and changed the CID to one that was getting the update. Couldn't wait any longer .

I know it's been out for a while, but has anyone actually got a red one of these? All things considered I don't think it looks too bad. Black is definitely sleeker though.

Unlike the rather bright Nexus N5 a red HTC One doesn't look quite 'right' to me, and I am still pleased I went for a silver aluminium one.

I might be looking for a change in a few months though!

Does make it slightly bigger but that's fine as I don't have small hands.

Its a good case, it adds a little bulk but I'd rather have that knowing it will protect the case.

those "barely there" cases with little in the way of screen protection are not worth the risk imo.

Ahhh I thought the update was meant to be here by now.

Also has anyone else noticed their HTC One's external speakers have got quieter? They are definitely not as loud as they were when I bought it.

When did you buy it? I remember there being an update in the early months which quietened down the speakers as it made them pop when it was too loud.

This arrived today in the post from Ebay.
Looks pretty similar to the Spigen in packaging & contents I think, but it was half the cost.

Just a pity it doesn't quite stick down properly on 2 corners, because other than that it went on perfectly.

Hopefully I'll get a replacement.

Fortunately I am with Vodafone, and although I hadn't received an invitation to update, when I checked my System Settings, there it was waiting for me!

I was in so much of a hurry to start it off, that I didn't notice the actual version number. However I have now downloaded it (via WI-FI), but didn't have enough battery life left to complete the installation... and presumably to update all the apps as well.

More news when it has finished charging!

downloaded the update earlier through data because i can. installed it, havent noticed much different yet other than one of the lock screen icons has gone weird.

Noticed this is a new update compared to the one released weeks ago (firmware ended in .8 when I did the CID change, this one ends in .9). Checked the update and indeed there was a small update for me to update to the newer KK ROM. I guess this one has all the fixes to the bugs the original one was having, so the wait was probably worth it.
