*** The official HTC One X thread ***

the htc one XL wont come with quad core and it will only be 16gb. the XL is basically the one X shell with the One S components inside.

You are not going to see a one X replacement till next year the earliest as HTC has said themselves they are concentrating on a small range of handsets.

Its all a waiting game no doubt. i was thinking fo waiting too for the gs3 but to me there is no point. unless samsung has redefined battery tech, it wont trouch teh one x.

It wont have more then 4 cores, it wont be bigger then the one x, and i HIGHLY doubt it will have 1080p res screen either.

SG3 can maybe beat the one X is having more memory/storage and better UI(Debatable as once one x is rotted, you can put any UI you want) so what will the GS3 bring new to the table that will blow awyay a one X? not many IMO

HTC are now back on top or near the top where they should be. Fantastic phone, great camera speed, and I haven't come across any major issues so far. Except maybe the flimsy micro SIM slot, and lack of Beats earphones in the box like the Sensation XL.

Much better overall phone than the Xperia S. Heck I even like the One S more than that. In the end, despite the much larger screen (as I'm used to 3.7"-4.0" handsets), the quad core and display quality won me over.

Will still be using the iPhone 4S though.

I went into 3 today and had a play with both the One S and One X.

The One X felt really nice, had a good premium feeling to it, it has a convex glass finish to it. The S is flat as far as I remember, and the screen (To me) didn't feel as nice to use as the convex version the X has. The S itself is more comfortable to hold in your hand due to the size of it. The white version of the X felt nicer and looked better (imo) where as the grey S was good. Both were very responsive and nice to use. The browser feature where the text changes to fit onto the screen is strange to adjust to, but it isn't as bad as what the guy made it out to be in a previous video review, definitely nothing wrong with it and the phone is still a pleasure to browse on.

I was very tempted to buy 1, but after talking to 1 of the guys in another store (CPW) he suggested to wait and see what the SGS3 brings to the table, and also that HTC will be realeasing another phone soon (Assuming the One XL). Always a waiting game, but if the SGS3 doesn't have some spectacular specs, I will be picking up a HTC One X or One XL.

I don't believe there is any indication that the One XL is being released anywhere but in the US.
That was certainly the case a month or so ago.

The One XL is the 4G version that is being released in America for Verizon (or maybe Sprint, I forget). The UK is not getting the One XL.

I honestly can't see it being MUCH better than the X spec. The only areas, which will/should be a fair bit better is the camera/video recording and battery life and it will probably have an SD card slot as well as being able to remove the battery and if they don't have a SD slot, then probably 64 GB of built in storage.

Im not sure if people already know but when using apps that are not designed for ICS you loose about a third of inch of the screen for a menu soft button at the bottom of the screen.

Just a heads up.
