*** The official HTC One X thread ***

Sorry, 1.26.401.2.

Got the phone from Carphone Warehouse on Friday.

Might do a back up and reset when I'm at home. Signal is pretty weak in the office so being connected to the wifi would be a bonus.

I'm on the same and my wifi has been fine at home, work and my girlfriends, so maybe it's a router thing?

I think I've figured my battery problem:

Who can guess at which point I turned off Words With Friends notifications?

Bloody scrabble..

Just seems odd with so many people experiencing the same issues with earlier versions of android. I'd go reset the router but am not sure what effect that would have. Not sure who is responsible for the network.

Are you only having the problem on the work router?

Thats what I have, with the One X

My current contract is due for renewal in August so im gonna jump onto that tariff, im already paying £41 per month for 600 mins, unlimited txts and 1gb data, and almost always going over on calls and data, the contract is for the original desire even though ive upgraded myself to the Evo 3D, roll on August.

This is the first time ive been on a data limit, I was with Tmobile unlimited data before.

I hope 1GB is enough, One X has this cool thing where you can set a limit and when it hits that it stops it being used.

To be honest I have Wifi at work, Wifi at home, only really when I'm out and about I'll use it.

Yikes, I'm still on My contract since the Desire and just upgraded it to the One X For the same £35 a month no extra charge. 600mins 1GB cap etc. Even thats quite bad, but I can't haggle to save my life :p

Just been on the phone to T-mobile. They have offered the One X on the same deal I had with the original Desire.25.50 a month for 300 minutes and 300 texts with unlimited landline and unlimited internet on a 18 month contract and pay 20 for the phone. Thought that was good myself. Anyone beaten that?

Very good indeed, not enough texts for me but if you aren't a big texter that's great.

I have uninstalled words with friends. It literally bends over your battery and anal rapes it. I turned off the background notification check which is fine now, but I just used it for 4 mins tops and my battery dropped by 6%, it utterly rapes your battery, probably because of all the ****** apps!

Excellent. Did you have to haggle? How longer have you been out of contract?

Hmm really wanted one of these in white and as a family member works for Orange I get 40% discoun, however they have told me that Orange are not currently stocking these phones in white, only in grey which just doesn't look as good imo.

Now i'm not sure whether to wait and see if they get a white model in, or take the plunge and get the grey now.

Get white if:

You are a girl
You are a "gangsta" (To go with white suits etc)
You like things to look tacky
You like things that get grubby quickly

Hope that makes your decision easier ;D

Hah, I have always gone for black phones but for some reason I just think the One X looks great in white, maybe it is because the grey One X is exactly that, grey not black, just doesn't look right.
