*** The official HTC One X thread ***

You know, the more I look at everything the more the "s" appeals to me.
It's going to be the closest in physical size to my Desire, although a lot thinner.
Good screen, fast processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB of storage should be plenty for any amount of apps you want.
Add in the metal body and I honestly think I'll be looking at that over the x.

I think the X looks much better. Make sure you've actually handled one before assuming the metal body is your preference, the X should feel very premium as well. You may even think it feels more premium!

Oh don't get me wrong - I wont be taking the plunge until I've had my hands on both of them.
On paper the s is appealing to me more, but once I've had a play there is no real telling which direction I'll go.
Roll on April when they make an appearance.

No idea, but selling accessories/stuff that 'work without fuss' is Apples strong suit? (even though there might be an open standard for it)

Depending on price I think this is a good solution. How many of us have TVs that have wireless display technology built in? With this all you need is a HDMI port.

I'm hoping they can price it below £50.

So they had to make a box instead of just letting it work with a Smart TV as normal? Fail.

Umm, not so sure. If you look at the "Connectivity" section here - http://www.htc.com/www/smartphones/htc-one-xl/#specs you can see it says

  • DLNA® for wirelessly streaming media from the phone to a compatible TV or computer
  • micro-USB 2.0 (5-pin) port with mobile high-definition video link (MHL) for USB or HDMI connection (Special cable required for HDMI connection.)

You may only need that box for non DLNA TV's....

After reading this thread I'm thinking the One S is the way to go... slimmer, probably better battery life, and probably better screen (everything non-AMOLED looks crap next to my Nexus S).

Price is a factor though, I guess!

You might want to wait until you actually see the One X's screen in person, there are reports of it being much better than the screen on the Galaxy Nexus (not that hard I know) but tis promising!

Not that hard? GN is one of the (the best?) mobile screen on the market?

Or am I missing something!

Lol "not that hard"......

Only the best screen on the market currently and it will still be one of the best (overall) even when these next gen mobiles are released.

The only other mobile screen that would be better/just as good in terms of quality that is on the market today (personal preference this though) is the iphone 4s screen.
