Yes really - don't ask me why they sometimes take a step back - but they did.
Well, since I did the "close apps and restart" it's been absolutely fine, back to its old self. And the notification light is working too.
I'm hoping it was the Smart Profiles app that I uninstalled so that will be the end of it.
I know there's no such thing as bug free software (I'm a software tester by day) but what I was seeing was just so not what I expected.
I've just had the software update too, so I'll see how it goes!

Installed update then had twin arrow circle of screen for 20 mins? Just restarted and now completing upgrad and back to desktop
Best backup software/app need to do that for the next update incase it goes pete tong

It seems smoother overall in general operation.
I'm just charging it to full and then I'll see if the battery depletes any slower.

Since the update I'm getting a better signal with O2. Previously None-1, now full. Didn't have an issue with calls so may be it was just an issue with the signal display.
Zero issues before the update. Already very impressed with the battery life so it will be interesting to see if this update improves it further.

I'm hoping it will be the same for me with O2. I'm on 2 bars at the moment and charging the phone so I can do the update!

I saw on the Phones4u website a representative said all HTC One X's come with beats headphones, so I rang up and said I saw this and that the instore guy said it also (little white lie), and they are sending me a cheque for £40. Just a FYI.
