***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

Anyone else with ICS notice that the People app seems to be active in the memory all the time? I kill all tasks and 5 minutes later it's back even though I've not even opened it

Available now. Is there a review of the new software anywhere? Dont want to install it, find I cant get rid of it, and find loads of pointless interface changes I didnt want inflicted on me.

I believe this is what you want: www.engadget.com/2012/04/02/htc-sense-4-0-review/ (is the update Sense 4?)

Edit: It seems not.

Some Sense 3.6 stuff:

afaik the ota update is ics with sense 3.6 not sure if sense 4 is officially coming to the sensation?

@ Fox if you do the update again afaik you wont be able to go back as it changes the bootloader and firmware which isnt compatible with gingerbread roms

I've tried pure AOSP in the form of Virtuous Quattro, and indeed CM9 and OpenSensation, but none of them have the stability of virtuous Inquisition as of yet. Plus I'm having fun contributing to the ROM and learning as I go. So far I've only added graphical assets (aosp cursors, check boxes and radio buttons, themed the Sense search function and a few other bits) but I'm working on my first smali mod and really enjoying it :)

Fox: I'd seriously consider rooting your device simply as a precautionary measure seeing how little time it takes, as thrn you could simply do a complete backup of your initial ROM and then revert back if you dont like ICS.

Turned it off and on numerous times. Can now get into messages but if I try and view a thread it just says loading even if its a small thread with a single message in it.

Effectively this has ruined my perfectly working phone.

Do you use anything to back up your sms's? if so id try a factory wipe and try restoring messages that way, didnt the upgrade totally wipe the phone?
