***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

I had a similar result, original I was on 25£ contract but it didnt come with my unlimited text as it said it would so I was paying 5£ for text and receiving £5 loyalty discount. After the last lady sorted my internet out and moved me to WnW+ for free she also made my texting free so for no im only paying 20£.

I hope I get that lucky! ;)

Oh Yes!!! I'm sorted now!!!

After my 2nd e-mail complaint I was called this morning to discuss. Technical support guy said there was nothing he could do, web & walk + web & walk + didn't exist anymore and there was no throttling going on, he suggested it was just too many people using the network at the same time, bla bla bla.

I kept referring back to forums and how others had got their internet sorted out, he kept saying there was nothing he could do, insisting that even if I payed the £5 extra the speed would not change and it was just the way T-Mobile internet worked and 350kb/s was as good as it was going to get.

I told him he was talking nonsense and to Google it and ask his manager. His manager was not there so he said he would look into it and phone me back.

About 30 minutes after the phone call I noticed my internet was off, and has just come back on again. I now have 2mb/s download and .5 mb/s upload which is about 2/3 bars of HSDPA.

Just waiting for them to phone me back to ask if its any better!

Success! :D

Should take a look online to see if they changed anything to your contract, the people at t-mobile are extremely stupid so I wouldn't trust them at all. And great to see your problem is finally sorted :D.

Well I just looked and my tariff amount hasn't changed and can't see any major changed to the account. One thing I thought it said was Unlimited Internet Booster and now it just says Unlimited Internet. I can't be 100% though if it did say that before.

Anyone experienced problems with screen sensitivity? Been camping all weekend at its been fine, today I am finding its not detecting my finger when touching softly, its difficult to unlock and having to press things twice/three times to get it to work?

Capacitive touch screens are always going to be sensitive to heat, humidity and the type of skin touching them. You will always get a stronger "signal" if You are cupping the phone with Your other hand.

Sounds simply that the trigger threshold (sensitivity) is a little low ;)

On all phones? :p all the capacitive phones I've used and owned work the same whether they're sitting on the desk, on a cradle, in my palm, on my lap etc etc.

I'm not dead sure on the latest touch technology but essentially touch panels have to see a "disturbance" in the matrix and your more likely to make a bigger disturbance if the device is not "grounded"

It's all a balancing act, You don't want the thing over-sensitive making unwanted commands etc.. They all generally do a fantastic job really, coping with different people etc.

You are obviously not that observant if you have not noticed sensitivity changes or You may just have consistently "clammy" Skin :D

Neither :p In fact I'm probably more observant than most people here - This is why I'm so anal about things in general.

I can record high definition videos all day long showing my phones in the house have no difference being used in the palm and out of the palm.

LOL, for a self confessed anal, your missing the point here :D , most people could do a handstand and operate most phones with their toes consistently, but it's possible maty's phone firmware has set a very low touchscreen sensitivity (to save power). We generally don't concern ourselfs until something is not functioning or eratic and there may be a fair sensitivity middle ground for these screens. The fact is picking up the device and touching the screen will your other hand does give the screen a stronger signal.

I could adjust the screens sensitivity on My HD2 so I know this as fact ;)

But that doesn't mean it's the same "fact" on all phones though. Certainly not the majority of Android ones anyway! Nothing about it on XDA either in the usual subforums.

Or it could be one of the very well documented touch screen issues that a lot of Sensation handsets seem to be suffering from?
