***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

One thing that I have just realised too, in the 3 weeks I used the Galaxy S2 I thought my headphones were broken as I had poor sound and distortion at high volume.

Only just got round to trying the Sensation with them and they are fine, better bass and no distortion.

I was just about to order some new headphones too!

After the 3rd charge the battery life has greatly improved. it lasted 24 hrs with quite a lot of use. and now on the 4th charge, been using it 3 hours still on 90%.

Just had my 4th phonecall to T-Mobile complaining about my Internet Speed. They still play dumb & want £5 more per month to access HSDPA.

I am so angry right now, just not getting anywere!!

Interesting! - I just requested my number to be ported to the newly switched on SGSII on the T-mobile deal (£30 pm, 600mins, 500texts and Unlimited internet which shows as an additional no-cost booster) - but its defo got HSDPA.

Guy at T-mobile (150) I spoke to said there is no capping at all with regards to 3G only....

It probably is capped then, just because it seems to be working fine doesn't mean it's operating at full speed. Unless you've tested it?

Speedtest.net mobile app reports:
PING: 140ms, Download 350kbps, Upload 64kbps.

Looks like I am capped and the dude I spoke to didn't know what he was on about! hmmm, I'll wait till my number is ported then play hell and insist on getting it as I did confirm 100% with the guy registering it that it was uncapped (not my fault he didn't know) - as I laid it down as a term of connection ;)

not bothered tbh like, as I rarely use it for anything other than email checking etc.

Did you get it from T-Mobile directly though?

No not direct. It shouldn't matter though.

I have made a complaint and they are looking into it. Got everything crossed.

Its seems there is web & walk & web & walk plus. The plus is the one with HSDPA. The names of the boosters may have changed names though. Just read that on another forum.

It seems the unlimited internet booster on all contracts are throttled back to around 350kbps.

Its a joke! wish I'd stuck with o2!

I hope you have more luck than me. 350kbps is useless to me. Even downloading an app on the market takes ages.

It shouldn't, but it does. T-Mobile are just exploiting a flaw because they aren't happy about these companies offering cheaper deals than they are.

They are basically saying "Get it from us or you'll get capped speed", they said the same to me in one of their shops when I said I can get this same deal online for £10/month less.

It's a shame, because they're pretty good other than that. I do very much like O2 though, even if they are expensive.

Well, I'll keep fighting till I win! This would have been sorted in one phonecall to o2. Their customer service is 2nd to none. Thought other networks might of caught up by now!!

I'm having issues with Facebook contacts being in my phonebook/dialler. All I want is my calendar to be synced with it but even if I deselect everything but that I still get contacts appearing that I don't want. Any ideas?

I removed the facebook numbers by selecting the phone then go into the menu and select people, next click all (the left tab at the bottom). Then menu again and select view, there you can deselect facebook contacts.

Just rung them, she said she was going to send me a voicemail update via text (i was like wtf does that have to do with this!!) - but she insisted it would sort me out.

Got the text, rebooted phone as requested and still the same darn thing!!!. I'e warned them that if I don't get the full speed then I will be looking to return the phone, expect compensation for the inconvenience of transferring my number across, and won't be a t-mobile customer longer! So their choice entirely.....
