I thought the menus seemed really smooth BIG BIG difference. Is GPU UI acceleration on the normal Sensation XE?
Certainly doesn't seem like it on mine.

Ok, I've never installed a custom ROM. I've sucessfully 'S-OFF' and installed 'recovery v5.0.0.8'. What's this 'super wipe' script I have to run? Presumably all my apps, settings, messages, pics/music, contacts etc will be gone?
Make sure you do a NAND backup before wiping it, from within recovery. And yes you will lose everything.
What ROM have you chosen?
Is there any non-labourious way I can back everything up, install the rom, then restore it all?
Android Revolution HD 3.6.4, linked a couple of posts back.
My Backup Pro perhaps? Pay for program though. £3.09 by the looks of it on the Market. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=20272085&postcount=1634Is there any non-labourious way I can back everything up, install the rom, then restore it all?
Compared with a normal Sensation and the menu scrolling is much much smoother now. Very impressed, highly recommend changing to this rom.
Which 'Super wipe' script should I use? There appears to be loads :/
Use the one in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849

Reading the feature set on Android Revolution HD, seems like a really awesome ROM and makes the phone what it should have been to start with. Including GPU UI acceleration as Drexel mentioned which HTC should have implemented themselves...
