*** The Official iOS and iPadOS 18 Thread ***

Yeah you’ll end up on the final release about a week before the new phones release.

Also really hope this is true.

My watch won’t be touching betas until at least a few public betas in, no easy way to unbrick those.

Looks good, but hasn’t Fitbit been doing that for years ? (Currently on Apple Watch 5, so not sure whether it’ll take 11 update).

Is RCS messaging available in the public beta?

New beta is up tonight. It’s enabled on EE, not sure about the other networks.

EDIT: You can confirm whether your operator has enabled it by going to settings > general > about and then tapping Network Provider. This should flip to INS settings and display Voice, SMS & RCS. This is disabled for EE at time of writing.

EDIT 2: 5GSA is now enabled for Vodafone users. First time this technology is available on the iPhone in the UK.

Seems to take a while to register to RCS.

iOS/iPadOS 18.1 beta is available for testing Apple Intelligence.

You need to have your region set to US and Siri's language set to American English in order for the features to work . Once you have updated, you will need to request access to the wait list under the new Apple Intelligence & Siri option.

Neither my iphone 13PM or my 2019 Ipad pro will get intelligence... mildly considering upgrading the ipad. It works well apart from the battery though, but not sure I can justify £1000 odd to replace it :(

I’m going to have to downgrade from 18.1. Mobile signal dropping out. It’ll be fine for hours and then have 10 mins of disconnecting and then fine again. Not noticeable when using WiFi but a PITA when out and about.

No more dropouts for me as of lasts nights 18.1 update.
