Well that was a bit too easy.

Just logged onto the purple place website and reserved a 16GB 4G at my local store within 2 minutes. Need to pick it up by tomorrow night, seem to have stock in most places. Didn't think I would stand a chance of getting one today.

This thing gets bloody warm, far far hotter than my iPad 1. Screen looks nice, that's about the only thing I care about.

Just popped out to my local electrical retailer in my lunch hour and walked out 10 minutes later with a 32GB Black iPad.

They had plenty of stock, not sure why the fuss about pre-orders.

Mines arrived at home too, courtesy of UPS. Severely need to Jailbreak that sucker and shove XBMC's new retina build on it (if it is out that is). With that much onboard ram, the device is so well suited to JB.
