Currently on a 12 pro max. Can anyone with a 14 pro/pro max who has come from a 12 or 13 pro max comment (objectively pls lol) on how they are finding the change and whether it’s a “I love tech and this scratches my itch” or a genuine large upgrade?

Also, what tangible diff would I have by picking the 128gb model that can’t record in max 4K mode?

Thanks!!
13 Pro to 14 Pro is not really worth it IMO - and I’ve just done it. Dynamic Island doesn’t add much most of the time and I think I actually prefer the notch. AOD is ok, but I never really missed it when I moved from Android
- I also have an Apple Watch so that gives me my notifications. Camera is not the giant leap lots of people expected.

12 to 14 is probably easier to justify as you’re getting the 120 hz display. I think two yearly updates are about right. I’d upgrade now or you may as well wait until the 16 as as I don’t think the 15 will bring that much. USB C and periscope zoom maybe?

128gb limits your video options. That’s it.

My current plan is to keep this for two years but change my watch next year. That’s the plan anyway!

I don’t think 13 Pro to 14 Pro is worth it, or 13 to 14 for that matter. I only did it because it basically didn’t cost anything.

12 Pro/13 non Pro to 14 Pro would be more worth it due to the screen upgrade.

I've encountered an issue, my messages have split up depending on if the Area Code was used or not.

The messages with the area codes just show the +44 phone number. If i add the +44 number to the contact card i still end up with 2 separate message thread for one contact.

Doesn’t look like Amazon will be getting stock until October and that’s for the Pro models not the Plus. I may be wrong but we’ll see.
Thanks for the response. FYI for anyone else who ordered from Amazon I placed my order on the morning of the 10th (14 pro 256gb space black), got an email yesterday 16th saying it will be delivered tomorrow 18th.

Must have got in early with a pre order as they’re now showing “Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months”. If you’re getting one from them this early it must have been in short supply.

12 Pro Max and I’ve decided against upgrading. 120hz would be nice but tbh it’s the ignorance is bliss thing if you’re used to not having it then it still seems silky smooth on the 12.

Camera upgrades haven’t impressed me enough to upgrade either. Slightly improved performance (again a nice to have) but still very obviously smartphone images at least to my eyes. It’s worth adding the images are impressive for the sensor size but they’re still no where near comparable to even a budget mirrorless setup or an SLR. More than happy with the camera setup on the 12 Pro Max to capture odd shots and social stuff alongside my Fuji for proper photography.

Will treat myself to an upgrade next year for sure even if the upgrades are marginal.

For real. Things like that are genuine life changers.
Yup.

Previously for me, take pic on phone, wait for it to appear in photos on Mac. Then export to desktop, upload to whatever site, resize, copy/paste link. Delete from desktop. For one pic.

For me on my old Note 10 it was a case of uploading to imgur in the app, then open imgur in the browser, request desktop version to then fiddle about to get the forum img link lol
