How are people finding standby drain?

I remember how good it used to be but since the iPhone 12 I've found it's got worse. Used to drain nothing at night, now it's sometimes 10-20%.

Surprised also how much Music and Books drain the battery life, I thought audio wouldn't drain much at all

It’s something you’d probably get use to. When I switched from my Plasma TV to an OLED I had a headache for a few days, something about it caused issues but once I was use to it then no further issues.
Shouldn’t be an issue going from a 13 pro max to a 14 pro because the screens are the same?

Going to return my 14 Pro. I like the phone but something about the screen is giving me eye fatigue where as my 13 mini didn't. Also not seeing huge improvements in general day to day photos compared to my 13 mini and the size and weight of the 14 Pro is just not as comfortable. 13 mini a lot cheaper.

Have a look here. I suffer really badly from PWM flicker had a nightmare with MacBooks lately….

That doesn’t seem right. Is this on a new 14? Perhaps it’s just Spotlight indexing?
My 13 PM uses around 4% on overnight standby.

I had an 11 Pro, sold that a few months ago and used my work 13 which I really like apart from I wished it had a better camera. I wasn't comfortable using my work phone as a personal device (although quite a few people do). Hence I ordered the 14 Pro.

Compared to the 13 the screen is nicer and smooth, but **** me the phone feels much heavier especially around the top end of it. It's probably my main criticism of it. Never held a 13 Pro so not sure if that has the same issue.

Yea the 13 pro is a thicc boi as well. Quite heavy. Does feel quality though.

I just use the app drawer or spotlight most of the time. I have 4 icons (2 are folders) on my Home Screen. Can't stand too much clutter
This is by far the best way to work it. However, having grown up with Windows versions where search was unheard of/unusable I still automatically gravitate towards actually looking for the app. I still have to consciously make myself use Spotlight. Some day…

The order for app drawer folders, and the icons within actually adapts to your overall usage. So I find it pretty intuitive to find what I'm looking for. I tend to fall back on spotlight, whereas app drawer is usually my go to. Also, the Siri suggestions now in spotlight work pretty well. For instance, whenever I'm at the gym it seems to know what apps I usually use and they're up there ready for me and can be accessed from the lockscreen/spotlight.
