Which iPhone 14 will you get?

Just ordered the Pro Max and interested to see the case or no case discussion. For those who use a case what do you recommend? All do you go for one thats clearly a case and changes the look of the phone or try to get one thats as unobtrusive as possible?

No case if your lifestyle allows it. These phones are so nice to hold and use without a case. Run AppleCare for if you have an accident. A few little marks won’t detract from the phone as much as your phone being encased in plastic or leather. A case will make it feel like a much bigger phone, will still get marks as dirt between the case and phone get trapped and it covers up the lovely design. After a few years you can trade it in where the marks (if any) won’t make much difference to the price. @Feek is also part of the nude phone master race.

The case I got changes the look completely. There is no way to tell it's even an iPhone, it even covers the cameras. I must admit it is cumbersome to having to remember to flick the cover open instead of instant but the camera on it isn't my main camera so I don't use it all the time. Prefer to keep them protected since they take up a large area on the back and raised.

I later found out Tech21 also makes a case with a cover, but that one doesn't work with Magsage as well.

I know some people hate it but the rubber edge on the case adds grip and the ridges on the camera cover across the back add a place to hold it more securely, also knowing i am not touching the lens so when I do need to use the camera, it is always clean and free from smudges.

Oh, the raised edges on the front means when i place it faced down, the screen isn't touching the surface.

Food for thought, there is no right or wrong, just whether you prefer it.

I’ve actually just recently gone for a bumper case on my 13PM - it’s the first time I’ve gone for this type of case. I do like how I can still see/feel the frosted glass back.
I’m still on the fence with the whole case thing. There’s no doubting these iPhones are beautiful to look at and don’t deserve to be ‘cased’. However, with little ones in the house and often having to employ one-handed gymnastics I find the phone harder to safely handle when not in a case. I do like the piece of mind with a case but that’s just me.

I’ve gone for the Apple leather case. I was gonna leave it off unless I felt I might need it, but I leave it on all the time. It’s lovely.
It the apple leather case am using on mine at the moment

Just wish the edges around the screen & camera's were a little higher to give that bit more protection

Thanks for all the replies regarding the cases, still swithering!

One further question - I'm pretty taken with the phone but I know I'm not going to be using it to its full capacity without a bit of help! Can anyone link to either a book/magazine or a youtube video that gives a decent introduction to the features of the Pro Max and or iOS 16?

I have been reading the Apple User Guide and there are some things I didn't know about. It's a good starting point.

I remember the days when phone manufacturers were actively competing to make the smallest phone :p

I see to be a plus/max person but they are getting so big, the standard phones are as big as the old plus/max. The smaller phones are big enough, far more pocketable and cheaper.

Looking through the older iPhone 13, 12, & 11 threads on here more people voted for the max version

It only this new 14 more people voted for the standard size
Guessing there maybe more women on here now

I am wondering if you guys can help. So I started my iphone journey on the 11 pro max and 13 pro max. Never owned an iphone before that. Loved the battery on the 11 pro max and 13 pro max. But on my 14 pro max it seems like that battery life is nowhere near as good as those phones. On the both the 11 and 13 I use to charge it once 2-3 days on my usuage but on this I find I nearly have to charge it everyday. I could stretch it to the next day but it would either run out or be very very low. My usecase hasn;t change and I seem to be using it the same. I use the same settings as the 11 and 13.
