ofc they was going to do that.Anyone actually tried using their 15 Pro/Pro Max with a USB3 cable yet? I know the cable in the box is limited to USB2 speeds so I thought I'd try a few other cables but my iPhone will only ever connect at USB2 speeds. If they've restricted it so that it requires an Apple USB C/TB cable then that'd be a bit of a crap move, even for Apple.
I've tried two charge cables that come with MacBooks, another couple of C to C cables that give 10Gb speeds with SSDs and I've tried a USB3 A to C cable too - none of them will allow my iPhone to connect any faster than USB2.
Mines seems pretty cool when using an Anker 30Watt charger. Not noticed it get more than just a smidge warm through the case. The pro max gets fairly warm when rapid charging. Anyone else notice that?
Demand for these seem pretty high! More than previous versions.
I've set mine on the same for now, battery is a big upgrade over XR anyway, so topping out at 80% for now is fine!If this has been mentioned previously apologies but there is a battery setting to have a limit to a 80% charge . This available in the 15 models and its purpose is to extend the life of the battery . I use it it’s pretty handy if there’s no need to have it charged to full whack everyday if you leave it
Word of warning, just had a revised offer from music magpie due to light cosmetic wear Used them several times before and never had any problems. The phone was immaculate, I inspected it and made a video prior to sending it.
Guessing they must be trying to on as I had the offer before the Iphone 15 came out and they know most people will not ask for it back. Lesson learnt next time, either take it to a physical person or use Envirofone.
Is this just on the 15 or on the pro/pro max as i cant see it in the battery section of settings? If this has been mentioned previously apologies but there is a battery setting to have a limit to a 80% charge . Oh god, just tried it and it’s horrible if you’re used to a pro iPhone and the usual pro iPadI'll give this a shot later, its not something that I've noticed I'm missing when swapping between devices, and if the battery lasts longer when its off, then that's a trade I'm happy with..
It’s on the 15 and pro I believe . I’m using it for now as no need to have it maxed out. A good option to have imo. As for music magpie I took my iPhone 12 to a smart kiosk in Asda at the weekend - it wouldn’t scan! Wasted 40 mins trying . In the end sold it at cex I lost 35 on it but at least it’s out of my hands now with no come back as they tested in the shop. I like the 15 pro, I couldn’t warrant going to the 13,14 range. And .. There is a setting to change to 60hz . By default it’s 120 hz . But it’s an upgrade so I’m leaving it on!Is this just on the 15 or on the pro/pro max as i cant see it in the battery section of settings?
I am also about to send off my old phone. Is it a case of just factory restore and pack it up and send?
Picked up a 15 Pro yesterday to replace my Pixel 7 as my first foray into the land of iOS
Thee gripes so far, am I going to have to put up with these?
- Camera and screenshot shutter sounds can only be turned off by putting turning on silent?
- Long pressing anything plays a click sound, again can’t find and option to turn it off other than silent
