Went from 8+ to a Xs. Loved the screen size of the 8+ but always hated the bulk of the phone, Xs is perfect as it’s a slightly bigger/same size screen with almost no bulk, with a case on it’s perfect.
 
I'm ever so slightly tempted by the XS - the price tag is a huge factor for me, but also the size of the phone.

Currently rocking an SE and love the size and overall feel in the hand, I really do feel like the square phones just feel better in your hand, I went from a 6 to the SE, admittedly not held an XS, but the 6 kept sliding out of my hand due to it's "sleek" shape.

Very interesting to see the results of the poll though!
 
I just went from an SE which I’ve had from launch to a XS. I was worried about the size of the phone at first, but you quickly get used to it. The XS is fantastic, the screen, the speakers and the camera have impressed me massively. Face ID is also excellent.

I kept the SE as a backup phone but I couldn’t go back to something that small now. You won’t be disappointed!

So I’m in store and they said they have lots of stock..... but wouldn’t give me one as they are two separate entities grrrrrr called upgrades and explained this is madness and she’s managed to cancel my current order online and build me the same deal and pass to the store for them to do the paperwork and signature side, they might have won my custom for another few years if this comes off! Plus I’m flying off to the US at exactly the date range they want to deliver it to me......

Walked out with it! It's on my desk at work but the SIM is at home, will sit down and have a play after the kids are in bed, coming from a Google Pixel 2XL I like big screens so hopefully won't be disappointed :D

EDIT: So I've taken a portrait photo and hit "edit" but the dial lines haven't appeared?? Or am I doing something wrong a guess to make the background more blurred ..... Sorry been on Android for 2 years :(

My XS arrived this morning. Currently I find the screen somehow worse than my 6, and FaceID seems pretty unreliable (approx. 50% success rate). Does this improve as it ‘learns’ your face?

I like the speed and form factor, but otherwise not that impressed yet.

Had mine just a day also Face ID has been flawless even wearing sunglasses and 2 different hats.

Try scanning your face again and really make sure your head moves around.

Or you just have a bizarre face ;)
 
This might be a stupid question, but if you have to use your phone at night. ie you wake up and want to check something, how do you go about that?

Is there some sort of IR illumination or do you need to turn a light on?

It works in the dark just fine - the scan beam is out of human eye sight visual range - mine works at extreme angles as well - i.e. as soon as i sit up to look at the phone on bedside table its unlocked, defo by the time i pick it up to look

Surprised how good it is - to be honest i see how massive the 'ocuk angry negative filter' is now - reading half the comments on here ud think it was awful, but it simply isn't - fantastic infact, much prefer to touch ID

It almost feels as if the phone has 'no security' now - its so so seamless.

The only thing id wanna change is not have to swipe up to use it once its unlocked, just go to the home screen already xD

It will get a bit better over time. You can also disable "Require attention for Face ID" which will make it a bit better at the expense of security. I disabled it on my X and have left it disabled for months, but I guess I might try putting it back on.
 
Any way of having animoji effects in the normal camera app ??

I know i can do it in iMessage - but i wanna take a funny animoji selfie but not use iMessage, as i dont want to send that image to anyone, just take the selfie.

Any clue ?

Apparently not. I also wanted to do this but seems like it’s purely through the messages app.
