Passed by the Apple store today, worst thing I could have done lol. Walked with my 7 feeling so outdated. Gold is just as nice in person, as I've seen in videos. Space Grey had always been my first option, but Gold honestly might be my preference.

If I can utilise a friend's apple discount, I might bite, will still be more than I wanna pay but it beats paying £1149 for 256GB, since there's no 128GB.

Keep torturing myself by watching videos and visiting threads like this

That happened to me as well with my XS Max. Thought it was maybe the charge and/ or cable but the phone didn't charge with a new charger and cable! And then it just worked... Strange one.

Sometimes, but in this video he's actually reporting on issues raised on the official Apple forums that hasn't had a response from Apple yet, seems to be widespread issue.

He didn't test any non X phones though, I wonder if it's just an iOS12 bug

No charging issues here, 256gb xs gold.

Faceid is pretty damn cool, been using it for Apple Pay and works flawlessly.

Still have the issue where sometimes it doesn’t unlock and asks for a passcode but 99% it works. Just a pain that I have to lift the phone to my face to unlock it.
 
So I get an alert from who ever, and its not until I pick the phone up it shows what the alert contains, albeit a preview....

Thats really cool

One of my favourite features, only tells you the person who owns the phone rather than before where anyone could see what the preview said.

Yeah that always annoyed me. Especially with Facebook messenger, every time it updated it turned “show preview” back on each time. Now I don’t have to go and turn it off at all. :D

Don’t believe so - my suspicion is that Apple are saving that for if/when they release AirPower.

Mine too. Not that I’ve anything to hide, but the extra privacy is a bonus.
 
I am having the charging problem. I just put my phone on charge and it even failed to start charging even after waking it up. Had to remove the lightening cable and put it back in.
I wonder if its a software issue or hardware
 
How do unlock iPhone X from Vodafone. Seems the £20 unlocks online are scams

Phone was provided 11 months ago on Vodafone contract.
