***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Having 12gb of music on your phone is just as stupid. Why isn't everyone who doesn't live in a desert or valley with no 3g not using google music? Having your photos automatically uploaded instantly isn't a bad way of making sure your favourite pics are safe either. 16GB is plenty for 99% of users.

edit: i forgot about the tube. can you tell i'm not from london?:p

Most users in the UK dont have unlimited downloads. Streaming MP3's will soon eat all the data up

Must admit for me personally and this of course is not for everybody but I used to store a good 40-50 albums on my phone but since switching to Google Music and having an unlimited 3 sim it has been great and most importantly works every where I need it to.

I won't be going back to putting large amounts of music on my phone, I just dump my content in to my Google Music synced folder on my desktop and let it upload in the background and then have it available on all my devices.

.... Are they having a laugh? £100 more???

He's not.

I popped into my local CPW and they said the same.

Sadly they weren't allowed to sell them this morning but I think they will be tomorrow/later in the week.

I'm hoping Google re-stock sometime in the next few days. I need a phone

Does it matter? If it's £279 from Google (assuming we can ever order one of course) then £100 more is laughable really. You'd be mental to pay that.

Ya it won't the only reason retail price is inflated to that level is to keep contract prices to the mainstream high or at least equal to Optimus G

What do you chaps think about the N4 getting the new SlimPort instead of MHL?

http://www.slimportconnect.com/

Does the TV charge your phone over the HDMI>Micro USB adaptor? That sounds convenient and less hassle than MHL. tbh, I don't own one, but the MHL adaptors always looked weird to me as you needed (I think) a USB into it for power and a separate HDMi for video out. Didn't seem convenient to have both a wall usb charger and a HDMI hanging out of your phone.

If HDMI can supply power, why can't some invent a little dongle or small breakout box that hangs from your HDMI and acts as a wireless receiver for Miracast? I could see that being very popular (people like wireless and AppleTV has shown people like streaming/Airplaying content from phone/tablets to TVs).

It's £289 (that £9.99 for delivery isn't optional!!!) Suddenly the gap is only £80. I don't approve of CPW/LG (whoever) getting greedy, but I reckon people would pay (say) £50 premium to go to a shop today and have it in their hand. Not because people are mugs or impatient, but not everyone has time to sit updating a webpage, making sure they are home to sign for delivery etc etc.

If CPW/LG priced it at £339 or £349 at retail stores I think they would sell a fair amount (some probably to people here who missed out today imo)

Dissapointed that I didn't get to order one today :-[ hopefully next time they go on sale i'll get one - there is no way I am paying the cpw + o2 prices:eek:

gonna go to cpw tomorrow and see what is what. £90 more is taking the mickey, but if i can walk away with one in pocket tomorrow then i might just do something sill :D

There's probably some value in being able to hold your phone and take it back instantly if your unhappy or have any faults, £90 is a little excessive maybe but the phone itself is probably worth the price and more.

I can see it selling at that price.

Is a week wait worth £90? Plenty of other things you can treat yourself with, if you have some patience.
