Hi everyone!

Been following the thread for a while now, and I have never been as excited about a phone before.

I did use the page monitor extension for chrome to find out when they went live and order an 8 and 16 gig phones. My initial order came back with a Google wallet error and the basket went empty.

After a number of tries to add the phones to the basket and numerous errors from the play store i checked my wallet. There was a pending transaction from that first try. The time stamp is 08:12:42.

It still says pending in the wallet as of now, the money is blocked on my credit card and the Google play order status says pre order.

I called Google yesterday and they said that everything is fine and should be dispatched within the next couple of days. So perhaps it has something to do with using credit card opposed to debit cards when paying?

The reply you get from support upon emailing them is generated automatically, and I guess they wrote on the evening of the 15th because it is exactly 2 days after the order, which is their internally set system deadline.

I would have been happy to pay the £10 if it was dispatched today/tomorrow but seeing as my order has revered from shipping 15th to preordered I'm going to ring them and have words.

If it says complete that means it's shipped, check your google wallet !

Just had a wee trip to both Carphone Warehouse stores in Dundee....

Yes they have stock but unfortunately they said they are only selling them on contract.

The problem is that Google have subsidised the phone on the Play store to a level that Carphone Warehouse would never be able to match, so they are leaving them to contracts only.

I'm not surprised by this to be honest.

I'm just a little surprised due to previous posts stating that they were available sim free....

Makes me Rage, CFW should get competitive or GTFO. Still.... I bet some fools somewhere will get it for £31 a month for 24 months but the phones free!!!

I was expecting enough stock for the sales to last an hour or so, not 20mins!

This hasn't been handled well at all by Google.

It was stated 3-5 days delivery before anyone ordered. I don't like it but everyone could see before they ordered.

Strange, on my iPhone using Chrome it say 'delivery estimate', but in safari it says 'shipping estimate'

So for those of us who have the "estimated shipping 15th" message (which I think is most of us), does that mean we should expect delivery on Friday or Monday, or? I mean if it ships on Thurs I'd generally expect to receive it on Fri, but Google seem to think it's a two day affair for some unknown reason? :/

And now I find the Nexus4 is not yet a supported device in AOSP. Nuts!

That's the main reason for me to get a Google device. Will be sticking with CM10 on my S3 till they sort this out.

I would assume Friday. Don't TNT only do next day? Saying 2 days is just to cover themselves I bet.

Delivery is ridiculously over priced. £10 and I could be waiting 6 days?

Should be Friday (i.e if they actually ship it on Thursday !) TNT are good with their deliveries never had a 2 day one from them, it's almost always next day if posted before the cut-off time
