***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

I do have to wonder exactly what it is Google are doing with the stock, if they don't end up shipping today and ship out tomorrow i think it's safe to assume they themselves didn't have the stock, I can't think of another explanation for the delay.

Bundled headphones are always rubbish anyway! I guess not including them keeps the price down and saves you just chucking them in a drawer and never using them.

I'm in my uni lesson and its attracting so much attention.

"Is that the Nexus 4?"

"How'd you get it so soon?"

I will get some pictures when I'm free in the next couple of hours :).

So I managed to get a N4 16gb, which is great. But in checking my receipt - I see I've mistyped my postcode by 1 digit - The rest of the address is fine. But if the delivery company just use postcodes - then it'll be delivered to the wrong address.

Google claim they cannot update the delivery details. I'll have to cancel.

Only other option is to let it go out for delivery and possibly call the courier with the new postcode. But they may not accept it.

So frustrating - but ultimately my mistake. Don't think i have much choice but to cancel - can't afford for it to go missing.
 
hmm I think I was too excited...I was sure that I will get mine tomorrow on 15th...but double checked and it says : Shipping estimate: November 15..not delivery :/

I wonder if I actually will get it this week...

Change your country language at the bottom of the page & it changes to Delivery estimate.

Mine's much the same actually, but over an extended period; bought S3, went through replacements, didn't like the poor custom ROM situation, refunded. Bought iPhone 5, all of them have arrived damaged, software has had small but frustrating bugs, price cannot be justified, now waiting for my Nexus 4 to be delivered.

If I had an S3 now I'd probably still move to the N4, because of stock Android. That's pretty much all that I'd want to run on my device.

Android Open Source Project. In essence, the source for the N4's software has not been released...yet. In short, it means that making custom ROMs will be more difficult for developers.

This said, it'd be very surprising if Google didn't add the N4 to AOSP.
 
As others have said CPW are not selling the N4 SIM free even though a couple of pages back a supposed employee of theirs said they were and were going to be £389. :/

Anyway, this whole experience has left me wondering whether to bother with one of these. Sure, they're a great price for a great phone but not knowing when there will be stock and the fact its going to be pure luck if you can get one the next time they do go on sale means I could be without a phone for quite a long time. My own fault for selling my SGS2 but I never though Google would screw this up so badly.

The N4 price and also wanting a stock android phone says I should wait but I'm considering my options.

So what phone would be recommended that isn't an SGS3?

Just to confirm CPW have taken it off the system. It was 389 but at the moment the system won't let us sell any we do have plenty in stock :(
 
If my postcode is out by a single digit, should I still get my delivery? The rest of the address is correct - and the postcode that I gave them doesn't appear to exist - so if they can't deliver it to the postcode, will they just go on the other delivery details they have?
