***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

People who say I paid £1 for my N4 need to explain how or just be banned :)

Lol

179.99 for the phone on contract @ 10.50 per month = £432

O2 Open discount on my existing o2 contract = -£75

O2 Open discount on n4 contract = -£50

Dad purchasing s3 from me = -£250

Total = £57

Less quidco if it tracks @£50 for new contracts = £7

Add to that I won this tv as part of O2's competition

If I were to sell it I would actually be in profit, alas I've decided to give it to the gf so no profit overall.

It always amuses me when people post retarded things like this, thinking that something costs no money at all, because someone else has paid for it.

have you read his post properly? he is selling his s3 for his dad for 250 :o the total extra he has to pay to get his n4 is £57 :o

If you're going to include that then you should probably be taking into account how much it cost in the first place...

I'm not sure why people can't seem to understand the concept of net outlay for me in cash terms. The original phone cost is irrelevant (especially as it was a 'free' upgrade and I'm keeping my current contract to use with my nexus 4) when discussing how much it costs for me to switch to the nexus 4.

How bad is the sensitivity issue? This is actually one of things I hate. When you touch a button and it doesn't register. Makes it look/feel laggy.

My 920 / iPhone is spot on sensitivity wise, was hoping this might be the same.

I highly doubt anyone is interested in your "net outlay" or how you're financing the purchase of your new phone. It's also a wrong term to use in this case, but that's irrelevant.

It's noticeably worse than any other phone I've had recently, including One X, S3, GNex and 8X. That said, I am getting used to it. But I would like to see it sorted via a software update.

Izi asked so I responded, why you seem to have taken offence to this I'm not entirely sure...

Anyway Izi like reflux stated the sensitivity is definitely worse but you do get used to it. Nexus will try the Wifi program when I get home.

You've responded to rogueblade who was baffled that people are willing to pay £100 extra for the phone to get it now, rather than wait a couple of weeks when the phone is back in stock at Play Store, saying that you only paid £57 or £7 extra, which is totally incorrect or irrelevant to his argument.

You having sold your current handset has no bearing on the extra cost of purchasing the Nexus 4 early so I don't know why you brought that up or included it in your calculations. Whilst it's your personal cost of making an upgrade, it doesn't change the fact that you could have saved a bit of cash by waiting for Google's stock. Whether you value it at the higher cost or not is a subject for another discussion.

But let's not make a big deal out of it and get back on topic.

Mine is as good as my old iphone4 and better than the S3 i just got rid of.

£100 can mean very little to some dude,

True as it may be, you are paying 35% extra to get this phone a little earlier than others. Which will in effect sound like a big waste of money to a lot of sensible folks out there.

You know, having a lot of disposable income doesn't mean that you cannot be financially savvy.
