***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

I would send it sooner rather then later, I think the price point of the N4 will hit the mid tier bracket the hardest, the S2 is in this bracket of phone. Having a desire to tie you over isn't as bad as me with my old battered Nokia... :(

Hehe, yeah I'm heading that way!! Plus it'll make the Nexus 4 feel even more special :D

Mind you, I'll be a little upset to see the GS2 go I've had so many custom roms and fun with this phone it really has and still is such a great device. :(

You can't sell phones on this forum. I was going to flog mine on AVforums, where I sell all my phones.

I didn't know that as I don't have access to the MM yet. :p

AV forums seems like a decent place to sell stuff too, seems heavily moderated and controlled so should be fine.

Weird Verge review says battery life is good:

The Nexus 4 is absolutely wonderful, but it's also vexing. Frustrating. Annoying. It's easily the best Android phone on the market right now, and has some of the most powerful software that's ever been put on a mobile phone. It's an upgrade from last year's Galaxy Nexus in every way. It's terrific — save for one small thing.

In the US, a flagship phone without LTE is like a muscle car with no wheels. For other networks in other countries, and for the lucky T-Mobile customers out there that are getting great speeds on its HSPA+ network — great. No problem. Go get this phone. But for others — many others — it's hard to imagine buying this device when you know it's a generation behind in terms of network technology.

What part of that review says it's crap

Lasting 60% as long as the phone is based on and getting destroyed in benchmarks by slower GSIII would lead me to believe that the software on that phone is crap. (Given the other reviews I wouldn't be surprised if Engadget have as bugged phone but their results are still crap).

Software that's brand new and not even final yet. Software that will get updated very fast, unlike every other mobile phone. Software that will only improve these issues, which themselves do not appear to be that bad when compared across multiple reviews.

Easy to see why it's cheap, it's crap.

What once was a smartphone series designed for developers has been decked out with top-notch features and priced so attractively that consumers will take notice of it; there's nothing comparable that comes close to it in that price range.

You're right, it's clearly crap.

Well there's your answer.....

Is stock android better optimised than the likes of sense V4 and touchwiz...... nope :p

The one S etc. beats it in all those benchmarks.

I am hoping that those guys got a duff unit or a software update will fix the issues.

Camera looks pretty good, although I am thinking the one S will be better by a good bit all round....

The display sounds very good particularly outside! EDIT: hmm those other reviews say it is a bit washed out :/

Can't believe those benchmarks (granted they don't mean much for real world usage but it gives you a general idea as to potential performance) and reported battery life  Just shows you how vital good software optimisation for the hardware is, in theory the nexus 4 should be the best for those areas.

Seeing more pics of it, the bottom bezel actually looks pretty damn huge although really liking the back from those photos on engadget.

Looks like I may be keeping my S and getting the X+ battery for it :p

Will wait for gsmarena and anandtech reviews before writing it of completely though.

Still for the price, it is damn good!
