What guide are you following? You should have copied the rom to your phone before wiping. Did you do a backup of your stock from first?

Have you tried mounting the phone in Clockwork? under Mounts & Storage.

Haven't used Clockwork mod for ages but it should be /sdcard or USB storage

Really though you shouldn't have formatted it all!

very smart, are there any power improvements in it? Sorry I know I can google this sort of thing but a) I'm working and b) I find as soon as you start reading android forums they get wilfully complicated and nerdy.

Nope completely stock apart from the colour tweaks :)

Yes they are TheCenturion! I think I preferred the colours from feb05 build though!

cheers Mattey1,

last question, do i need to do any back ups or is 1 rom just replacing another?

You can do a nandroid back up if you feel like it just incase anything goes wrong. But I didn't bother personally.

I advise it if you are not confident though.

I can only mount /system and /cache

cant unmount /data
cant mount /sdcard

I'm not sure then sorry :(

Does the toolkit recognise it?

Yes it does

Grab hold of the stock android image for the N4, flash it using option 11 in the toolkit, boot the phone up, copy PA over & then just wipe cache & dalvik & install the PA zip.

Not sure if you can restore a backup you made with the toolkit unless you are in android.

He wiped everything it seems.

Ah yes so any backup he would have made would be gone now.

We can solve this. Let's think. He's got a completely wiped phone, no rom or anything, but can access cwm and can access the toolkit. The problem is that to push files from the toolkit on the phone, you need a rom. Any other features of the toolkit that could help ?

EDIT: There seems to be only one way you can save your device. Go into fastboot mode, and select option 9 on the toolkit. [Download, extract and flash google stock rom]

I think what I just said in the post above will sort it but don't quote me on that!

What I used for a reference, Fastboot should be ok to do it from.
