***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

So when should I expect 4.2.2? My phone currently just says its up to date, not that I'm in any mad rush, just that I'm new to android and wondered how it normally works, does everyone not get it at the same time?

Have you tried clearing the data for Google Services Framework, then updating?

I'm loving this phone, I only have one problem, when I play music using Play Music, the sound is terrible through my earphones, using the Equalizer improves it somewhat, but not that much, compared to my old 4S?

Any ideas guys, thanks.

Guys,

Im trying to delete some old PA and GAPPS files from my phone (old versions) to free up some space but everything i try they wont delete.

Tried deleting them using ROM Toolbox Pro and through explorer but they wont go away.

Any ideas?

You need root permissions. Try something like ES file explorer and go to settings to enable root.

Still having major battery problems. It seems to be going to deep sleep after I've told WiFi to always be off when sleeping, but still ridden with suspend_backoff when I wake up and check it over. Lost 12% over 4 hours asleep last time. Argh.

Shouldn't need root permissions to delete files from his phone especially ones in the goo manager folder. Never known that before.

I use OI file explorer to delete from on the phone or airdroid/explorer when on the computer.

Depends what he's talking about, if it's old installed GApps, then you will need su and to remount /system as R/W to remove

If it's just old crap on your MTP storage, then it should be able to be deleted with just about anything

I'm having similar issues with playing the music through the AUX on my car. I have a feeling the files needs to be modified before they are transferred to the N4...

Pretty sure he's talking about the zip files you download to install the ROMs/Gapps

Hovering over the buy button as my HTC Desire is on it's last legs. Don't know but there's something holding me back, from reading all the battery issues and stuff on this thread. I have to charge the Desire overnight, at work all day and I don't want to do the same to a 3 years newer phone too. hmmmm

If you charge it overnight, it will last you 'til you get home.

Phone technology moves on pretty rapidly, battery tech hasn't. So you get your monster phone with it's large dense screen being powered by the same tech your years old phone has, just a bit bigger to try and compensate.

get a note 2 then or a motorola maxx razr ultra 9000 these will last longer :) but an n4 should be sorted sooner or later, it is quite normal for new phones to go through the phase of bug fixes before they reach their max.
